If he’s healthy, he’s good enough for them to be good. Pats defense is still sick. His foot injury is a bad one though. It makes it so he couldn’t really step into his throws; he was constantly having to throw flat footed which kills his accuracy and timing.
I never thought there was any really faith in Stidham so this actually makes a lot of sense.

Just a shot in the dark, I think. I don't see him being any more accurate with his injuries piling up than he was when he was healthy. He's an exciting guy to watch when he's "on"..running the ball etc. I just think Bill is biding his time for a big move at the QB position next year. Or maybe he's trying to cover over being fined/disciplined for another videotaping episode? Good be...lol

two things... first, the hype for the current QB [Stidham] was all hype. Which I'm sure comes as no surprise. Second, how many times does it take to be caught cheating before you're team is stripped of everything and the owner forced to sell off what's left?@AdamSchefter

NFL has handed down these penalties to the Patriots for their television crew filming the Bengals-Browns game in December, sources tell
@MikeReiss
:
$1.1 million in club fines.
Loss of 2021 third-round pick.
Patriots’ TV crews not allowed to shoot games during 2020 season.

To all those [cheat] fans that were in denial and defended that team blindly, this should be the final confirmation you root for cheaters...

The Patriots interpretation of these penalties is that although they can’t film games they are all clear to once again film other team’s practices

Until these punishments become severe enough, nothing is going to deter them from doing it repeatedly.Steelafan77 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 11:07 amtwo things... first, the hype for the current QB [Stidham] was all hype. Would you sacrifice a 3rd round pick for an "enigma machine"? I sure as fuck would

I agree Donnie.
Another slap on the wrist will not deter those cheating fucks.

Yep...I’m picturing Belichick, Krafty, and Ernie sitting poolside, puffing on expensive cigars and laughing about Rog thinking he really “got em” this time...Thrillsseeker wrote: ↑Mon Jun 29, 2020 1:25 pmI agree Donnie.

A $1.1M fine? They rake in, what, $10M for a single home playoff game?

Hey, they lost a 2021 third rounder.

Which they'll recoup through trade, comp pick or both in short order after the season.

Wait till they realize the best part of Cams game is what he is wearing walking in to the clubhouse and what he wears at post game press conferences.
Hope he looks great when he has miserable press conferences explaining why they lost.

I agree. You could fine them 50 million and it wouldn't do anything. Kraft spent more than a million in jet fuel and legal fees getting into and out of trouble on that "massage" he got in Miami.
I say take away dollars from the salary cap in 4 million increments as well as the draft pick. 4 million in dead money is a bigger deal because it offsets any competitive advantage they would get from filming by losing players. Could even kick the other teams back 130k to their caps just so the players don't lose that money.

Can someone more familiar with betting than I explain to me how I can bet that the Steelers' 1st round draft slot next year will be later than the Patriots' slot? The Pats and Steelers have the same Super Bowl odds now, and I'd bet substantially that the Steelers go farther in the playoffs and/or have a better regular-season record. If it's better than even money, I'd make that bet.

I was talking about this with a friend who is a Cheats fan. My thought to her…
For better or for worse, Brady was very coachable and a very accurate passer. But his defining characteristic is is WILL TO WIN.
Cam is none of those things. He “does what he does,” which is to say you have to build your offense around him, because he is not coachable, so he won’t slide into yours.
Cam’s accuracy has never been that great. And now, with the foot issue, it’s even worse.
Finally, the performance in the Superbowl, when he ducked out of the way of a fumble, with the game within two posessions. Apparently his instinct was to save himself at the expense of the team—in the biggest game in his career.
This will not work well for the cheats. A cry-baby on the sideline, who doesn’t bother to do the what it takes to keep the team in the game, and who doesn’t fit into the scheme will not pan out. I hope they start him. He screws up. Bill’s head explodes. And as Brady FAILS in his new home, the cheats IMPLODE. And they’re exposed as the cheating frauds they are.
But that’s just me. Nothin’ but love.

Bill and Brady failing when separated does entail that their success was due to cheating. I’m not defending the Pats.Quixotic wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:35 pmThis will not work well for the cheats. The folks in Vegas aren't taking the Cam signing anywhere near as seriously as fans and sports media are. They have adjusted New England's projected win total up by a whopping .5 games since before the signing. Probably pretty accurate.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 4:32 pmCan someone more familiar with betting than I explain to me how I can bet that the Steelers' 1st round draft slot next year will be later than the Patriots' slot? Patriot's ceiling is 8-8 this year. Cam is garbage and has been for a while now. He may not even beat out Stidham. I feel like this move was made more to trade Cam to a QB desperate team in season and recoup the 3rd they lost.
In their current state, I hate everything about this organization.

Thanks perfessor. Actually, using “and” more in the copulative sense than in the cumulative sense. As in, “I am excited about A. And I am excited about B. And I am excited about C.” As opposed to, “I am excited about A and B, which will cause C.”Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Tue Jun 30, 2020 5:14 pmBill and Brady failing when separated does entail that their success was due to cheating. Also, I like saying “copulative” and “cumulative.” They sound utterly unlike what they actually mean. Also like saying “utterly” for the same reason.

Don’t forget the “epexegetical copulative”—surely my favorite use of ‘and’.Quixotic wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2020 5:49 pmThanks perfessor. If that's true, they'll just dial up the cheating machine a few more notches and still manage at least 11-5.
Looking forward to the first time Brady comes to the sidelines in TB and says "the radio in my helmet is cutting off with like 15 seconds left on the play clock".
