I saw one play where the RT CLEARLY jumped early.
No call.

Time keeper has a quick trigger finger. Only 3 seconds off the clock on that play.

Ha - 4th receiver without taking Ebron and Vanimal into account.
Claypool contributed tonight, and his role is only going to grow.

Connor is a good story but is, and always has been, just a guy.
Otherwise, great performance especially for the first game.

Nice game Stillers. Let’s keep it rollin’
I disagree with this.Steelknife wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 2:09 amConnor is a good story but is, and always has been, just a guy.

Conner's problem, likely due to his cancer treatments, is injuries.
I said all offseason Conner 's career is likely coming to a close and soon.
...but when he first replaced Bell, Conner looked SPECIAL.
Dude made the Pro Bowl. He was outstanding as both a runner and a receiver.
I know, because I hated Conner being drafted and he made me eat crow in a big way.
But.....he doesn't have many snaps left in his career,

Snell ran well....really well. But, IF Conner is healthy, he is the better overall back (especially his receiving threat). I'm just afraid his body is breaking down as you all are too. Let's hope this is minor and he can have a big year. We are going to need him.
Conner is a walking injury waiting to happen now, which is sad.franco32 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 2:13 amSnell ran well....really well. He's probably miss 6 weeks because of this ankle.

You’d think a pandemic might get Danny Smith to get a better oral habit...cinnamon toothpicks, hard candy...nope...looking like Hanibal Lechter behind the glass.

If Wiz is hurt then i hope the steelers purge Patrick Morris off Den PS

They switched up enough it seems like a pretty equal comparison. Conner looked like he was running in quicksand. 1.5 ypc? Snell was over 6, running hard and running thru tackles.
The difference was stark. Conner did too much dancing and never got going. Snell just picked a hole and lowered his shoulder, and racked up yards. That's all you need to complement a lethal passing game.

He looked like he was running in quicksand. Not sure if he was injured before but he hasn’t looked good in awhile.franco32 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 2:13 amSnell ran well....really well. He's just painfully unathletic. Even the year he put up decent stats...idk...he was certainly better then than he is now, but I'm not convinced there weren't 30 backs who could have done similar that year when our offense was cooking.K_C_ wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 2:11 amI disagree with this.Steelknife wrote: ↑Tue Sep 15, 2020 2:09 amConnor is a good story but is, and always has been, just a guy.

If/when Conner is healthy, they should just use him as a third down back. Pointless trying to make him a feature back. Not only will he not stay healthy, it will take carries away from the guy/guys they will need to count on for most of the season. At least he has a shot to keep playing with limited 3rd down snaps.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
