This was the bunch left they motioned Claypool into with Edmunds, Conner and McDonald and Ebron split to the right. I have to think they can swap out D. Watt for Edmunds so basically they give a look of double TE with FB and TB near the goal line which I am sure had Jim Schwartz sub into a goal line type of package.
I think we should have more of these type of sets to create mismatches against the D. Make it look heavy and spread the team out laterally. You can use Conner, Vance and Ebron with either JuJu or Claypool as the WR and force the D to pull DB's off the field and just line up Watt in the backfield for pass pro or go with a form of 5 wide and pick your favorite match-up to exploit based on the defensive personnel. I know that we have had conversations about this before but I think we actually have people that create real mismatches for us with this kind of grouping this year.
They keep DB's on the field and you run the ball with larger men on the field if they add bigger players on D then spread and shred. Will be really interesting if we can get a handle on how well McFarland runs patterns and his catching ability (adding more speed to a run heavy look). I hope we can take advantage of outsmarting the opposition instead of just relying on superior talent to win one on one match-ups.
