Could the Steelers be playing it cool ??

Post by SteelerDayTrader » Tue Dec 22, 2020 5:29 am

If they lose their last 5 and everyone who is supposed to win does.....consider

1) no real homefield advantage for anyone this year and

2) Ben was calling the shots a few weeks as good as anyone in the nfl ever......big advantage for QBs in general

3) the afc looks like this

Kc
Bal buf
Ten cle
Pit ind

Bal knocks off buf and kc
Pit knocks off ind and cle after getting a good look at their best punches 2 weeks prior

And then knocks out a bal team they have figured out in Pittsburgh for the afccg

Then....surprise surprise surprise .....the only playoff nfc team the Steelers couldve rope a doped into a win and season rejuvenation cruises through the nfc bracket and gets clobbered by the Steelers when it matters

It could happen

Jesus Christ dude; give the “New Topic” button a rest after games. It’s getting to be a bit much.

Anything can happen. Who knows maybe they can fix what ails them. But they're not just "playing it cool." This team has serious problems.

We'll come out in the wildcard game and look like world beaters, and then get destroyed in the divisional round.

Another Mike Tomlin special.

Hopefully, they're playing it so cool, a complete rebuild is on the horizon.

As long as the rebuild includes the coaches. It's sad to watch Ben struggle so. Throws that once would be right there are now too high or under thrown. I just hope he retires with grace & takes MT with him. It was pretty clear last night after a few minutes - here we go again. It's embarrassing to watch every other team's quarterback who may have been rescued off the scrap heap throw better.

Good thread.

Yeah, super cool.

Lulling the league to sleep to take advantage of everyone in the playoffs.

I didn't watch much of the game, but Roethlisberger started off so incredibly shitty, under throwing James Washington to start the game when he had 2 steps on that corner, I knew we were in for a long night.

It isn't just Ben of course. The o-line and the RB's are below average.

The WR's are exciting, but unreliable.

This team is finished.

Time to absolutely look to rebuild the offense.

I'll pass your judgment along to my friend.

I post here for my own entertainment, not to pretend to know anything about football. By the way, speaking of entertainment, thanks for the laughs.

The look in Tomlin’s eyes last night was far more deer in the headlights than it was a master manipulator with a rabbit in his hat.

This team is done.

Sad but fucking true.

We couldn’t beat a 2 win team fielding their 3rd string QB last night with the division & some breathing room at stake.

Our offense is so out of sync right now we can’t execute a clean play let alone a string of them over multiple games.

I’m sure defensive coordinators are quivering in fear at having to face this “offense”.

There isn’t a single AFC staff that isn’t privately hoping they draw us in the postseason.

They've got the "dope" part of "rope-a-dope" down!

After waking up this morning and realizing I'm not nearly as brilliant as Tomlin and Ben, suddenly the plan became clear that in order to be more physical, the team had to be thoroughly embarrassed.

That's next-level, 8D chess right there! We might lose a couple guys to injury in this week's literal "run thru brick walls" test, but we're looking for volunteers to free the hostages! Taking it up a notch - if you can move a brick wall, you can move a 300-lb lineman!
