I didn't think it was a fake slide either.
looked like he slowed down to lower his butt down...........
you be a defender and decide in a millisecond if he is slowing to slide or just pausing....
knowing you leave you feet to dive and tackle him....
that once he does slide.....you are already committed to hitting him....
and need to contort and stop your body mid air to avoid hitting the QB.
watch the second one.....forget who....
but they were already leaving their feet in Allens direction before he slid.
ridiculous.
Get the league front office suits, rule makers, officials etc...... in full gear, actual helmet on.....tell them to run full speed at a tackling sled..... and not stop until you are told to or hear a whistle......and that whistle may not be until a half second or less before you are about to hit the sled.....
I see alot of knocked out and concussed front office suits, rule makers and officials laying on their backs with stars in their heads......
Now do it again while we hose down the turf.........
One ore time with real loud crowd noise pumped in that buffers your hearing.........
Now do it one more time after running 2 or 3, 15-20 yard sprints so you are tired, huffing and puffing,
Now do it after an hour of sweat is filling you helmet......you are tired and your body is not reacting like it was when you first walked on the field.....
THIS HAS TO BE FIXED...
ITS A SHAM
