If this Steelers team come out flat and lays an egg this team will total piss me off, I hope they leave Canada home because this should be the Gunslinger game to let it all hang out.

They may lays an egg and if they does, it may not be all Canada’s faults.

It could be a total teams efforts to lays an eggs in Ben’s last home games.

Ben should have, LONG AGO when this season began falling apart, he should have insisted on calling his own plays.

End of story.

What was Cool Shades going to do, bench Roethlisberger?

How do we know he doesn't like what is called. I find it hard to believe that Ben is going to just go along with this bullshit offense, which by the way looks very similar to last year, being that this is his last year of playing.

Ben's made some comments, his usual passive aggressive lines, about the play calling this year. Didn't he even go as far as to say the Steelers didn't even have a 2 minute offense or some similar kind of comment?

Ben has been a good solider, to a fault and it's cost him. Manning, Brady and other future Hall of Famers would have told Cool Shades to blow them had they been given this offense to run.

Maybe Ben is contractually prohibited from criticizing management.

The entire management layer of the Steelers is really bad.

Whether that part is true or not, I certainly appreciate that if he does criticize, it is not public. This team doesn't need anymore drama.
Maybe it is an indication of professionalism not to be publicly critical of the guy that signs your paycheck.

Ben kinda explained in his presser yesterday that all he wants to do is win the game and not dwell on the situation

But he did explain that Rooney didn’t offer to extend him past this year by choice. He’s essentially a free agent come next week

Rooney’s are fastly becoming a disaster due bistro man being a potted plant owner

He's never had that take charge personality unfortunately. I don't expect him to be any different Monday. He'll run what's called even when it's continually not working.

And I'm guessing when he said that he wasn't leaving the door open for a home playoff game.

If I woke up this morning with my head sewn to the carpet I wouldn’t be more surprised to see Ben Roethlisberger wearing another team’s jersey or writing tell all books or doing anything other than living the lake life with his family here in the rich mans playground that is Georgia

I can see Ben pulling a Carson Palmer or Kurt Warner and making a few more millions for not practicing and playing 17 Sundays for a few hours.

He’s going to retire and you’re never going to hear from him again….
…Unless you live here in Georgia and your son plays on the same little league team.

Or maybe he did complain to Colbert/Rooney and it fell on deaf ears. Then your choices are to bend over and take it, retire or wait for FA to go to another team (assuming PIT doesn't tag you twice). Not great options.

I already have a bet going that Ben is retiring but I'd happily make another one.

He's done.

....and right now, draft position-wise, I'd have taken the 4-13 with Rudolph.

Glad Ben came back for one final go 'round but it didn't go anywhere near as well as any of us wanted it to.

It's not over yet but it has been more of a struggle than I imagined it would be at the beginning of the year. :(

This.

Ben certainly isn’t free of blame and has been part of the problem. Either by agreeing with what is being run or by being complicit to the garbage offense.

If Cleveland passes more than 5 times, Stefanski should be fired. Cleveland can possibly break the all time record of 404 yards in a game. Unless Ben plays out of his mind for 4 quarters, this might be one of the most embarrassing losses to the Browns. And I did sit through 51-0.

Agree 100%

They could run it every play and we’d lose handily

It’s a shame that Benji still needs 7 TDs to pass Rivers.

Pathetic in todays NFL he has gone two weeks without a TD pass.

Or wait, he got 1?

Needs 6 now?

Fucking get it done.

Look for that cunt Tomlin to give it to Najee every chance he gets in the RZ.
