Who teared up last night?

Gotta admit, in the post-game when Ben started to get choked up, so did I.
Also, when Ben went over to his family....parents, sister, brother in law i believe.
But i really lost it when he went over to his kids when he came back out...I thought, wow what a special, special moment for #7.
I will never forget the way Heinz was ROCKING (TJ said it was the loudest he's ever heard it), the victory lap, him talking about how blessed he was to be a Steeler and play this long with his health in tact. I couldn't fall asleep. What a night.

I was the same as you, also couldn't fall asleep either. Endings suck, you feel empty but then realize everything comes to an end. I am though excited to see what the future holds. Maybe we get the next Ben, or maybe the next Malone. Either way, I'll be here posting and watching every Sunday until my end.

There is definitely a sense of loss, he's been a part of Pittsburgh for longer than any other icon and legend.
Felt like we lost something, but happy he graced the Burgh and our lives with his gifts and stayed true.

Got a lump in my throat when he did his walk around the stadium. I have been there watching him probably a dozen times. Great place when its rocking like last night. Also went to the last game played at 3 Rivers. When they trotted out the 70's greats before the game (maybe half time???) I was struggling to hold it together.

I definitely had multiple moments, and am working today on adrenaline and caffeine after about three hours of low grade sleep.

I will admit.
I looked back where I was in my own career in 2004 in comparison. Fledgling as well, compared to now. I can retire this year.
Life really is a vapor.

The wife got a bit teary eyed when she saw Ben crying.
All I could think was how damn old I’ve gotten as I watched Ben wrap up an 18 year career.
Sad to see him go. Glad the last home game was a win and he was able to take that knee. You could tell he really wanted to end the game with a knee….
Great career. Too bad the past decade he was saddled with a dipshit.

Fresh out of Pitt, starting my teaching career. Crazy how it matched up.
