LOL, Bienemy and Leftwich are both looking for HC jobs.

If Pickett ends up showing some potential, it might be more attractive to a promising young OC. Otherwise, I don't think anyone worth a damn wants to walk thru that revolving door. Tomlin is a career killer, and I have to think most up-and-comers see that.

They are looking but not getting any offers

If they made the Steelers relevant they’d get offers

I think the list needs QB coaches, former HCs, or college offensive coordinators.

I was thinking about that but I don’t think he’s ever had OC duties even when at Miami.

This is a lazy, stupid organization that they have a hard time bringing in premier talent at their coordinator positions. Austin and Flores have done a great job and they deserve to keep going. One might say that having Flores as a defensive assistant is elite talent for that role.

On the offensive side of the ball? I mean Canada was a college castoff and has been given ample opportunity to showcase what he can do, and it ain’t working.

We don’t have a bye until week 9. If Mitch blows on Thursday and we drop two straight after beating the Bungs on the road, then Pickett comes in. I’d then give Canada until the bye week to show he can design an offense that can score points.

If not, Canada goes. I don’t want him anywhere near Kenny when the organization goes through the PEP (Pickett Evaluation Period) which is crucial to determine whether he has “it” or whether we need to start evaluating QB prospects on the draft.

Our big FA signing QB averages 5.5 YPA.
Our 1st round RB averages 2.9 YPC.
The offense averages 15 PPG through two games plus overtime.
29th in yards per game
22nd in points per game (Thanks to Minkah’s TD and 6 forced turnovers by the D)
27th in pass yards per game
25th in rush yards per game

Ben wasn’t the problem. The o line isn’t good, but it’s not the problem. Changing the QB won’t solve the problem. This is as clear as day an issue with the coordination and play calling of the OC. The question is if Tomlin and Rooney can pull their heads outta their asses long enough to identify the problem and make an appropriate hire. Tomlin needs to hire for his weakness and let that guy run the show on O.

Every time I see Canadas name I remember him having a tantrum in the booth late in a game last year. He totally spazzed out.

What a douche.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

Ya, I’m thinking it’s ridiculous to even put him on the list.

Ben is retired. As he should be.

Hopefully Trubisky has an awful night in Cleveland after the short week and we can move on to KP at home against the Jets.

Right now a traffic cone would be better. At least that would force the offense to be inventive.

The question is if Tomlin and Rooney can pull their heads outta their asses
Those two idiots believe if not for a muffed punt the team is 2-0 and mission is being accomplished.

They dont recognize problems.

Plus, Dunce likely already views his jabberin puppet as a victim for having to coach a game without TJ Watt.

It isn't just that should be 2-0; it is also with a moderately competent OC and QB they could've spared the defense time on the field. The defense is going to wear down fast if this mess continues. Heyward looked wrecked yesterday trying to fight through endless double teams.

If I’m being realistic, I would ply this guy away from his alma mater—although OC in Pittsburgh is a step down.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyler_Roehl

He runs an offense that fits what Tomlin wants to do, but with a ton of discipline and detail, especially with the run, screen, and play action game. When he had stud receivers and an NFL QB, he had great passing concepts. Now he has OL, RB, & TE prospects and he runs a power game.

Let him draft his stud RB Luepke, run a gatdamn 70s Steelers offense with Luepke & Jaylen Warren as Franco/Rocky 2.0.

Spot on Perch! This shit is awful to watch. Embarrassing really and I don’t expect Rooney or Tomlin to remove their head from their asses.

Let’s be honest @bradshaw2ben

The Steelers 70’s offense would be several notches better than where we are lol

Dead fucking last in the league.

And these idiots “keep trying to get to third down”.

It doesn’t have to be linear. You can pick up 10 yards on 1st down too. It’s legal.

You don’t have to literally visit every down there is along the way.

Jabberin fool is a disgrace. He’s somehow gotten worse as a coach over his tenure. Every year he seemingly gets more entrenched with a loser, chickenshit, living in his fears mindset.

Bills just completed a 28 yard pass on 1st down.

Jibbs is probably emailing the league office right now asking if that’s legal.

2) I’m not going to dignify the racist bullshit. Completely bogus and uncalled for.

Get out of here with hoping Steelers players have an awful game. I cheer for any player wearing the Black and Gold. I hear Browns are looking for fans. While I do agree something needs done and starting KP is something. If Trubisky had a competent offensive line and play calling he would look 100% better.

And I hear your mommy calling you for breakfast. Your Froot Loops are goi g to get soggy jr if you don’t hurry.

Let’s flip the script. Say Trubisky plays great. Out of his mind. Shows everyone why he was a #2 overall.

Team would look pretty dumb in that scenario burning a 1st round pick on a QB when the one they signed off the street turned out to be great.

Trubisky isn’t the long term answer. The team spent its 1st rounder on the most NFL ready QB so it makes sense to get him in there sooner rather than later.

If Trubisky kept delivering as you hope then when do you move to KP?

Next year? So now two years are essentially wasted?

I want this team ready to compete next year. KP getting up to speed sooner rather than later speeds up that process.

Now run along a play lil one.

I don’t think it’s crazy to talk about Ben as OC

The guy CLEARLY misses football and didn’t want to leave

I think there is a chance he’d be among the best play callers in the league

On a bad day he is likely lightyears better than Haley Fitchner Canada

Calling plays and scheming an entire offense are different things.

And again, he’s never done it.

I’d bet that Ben has zero interest in coaching.
