Good job Swiss.

But holding out hope for 2 seed? Fuck, I just want a ticket to the dance. Can't think 2 seed after that shitfest yesterday. Can barely imagine playoffs.....

Don't disagree with you, Barry....but have to have a rationale for the SBI picks. We should be rooting for Indy....and that's why. And...Pats lose on Sunday, Steelers win, we would be a game behind them as far as seeding should we take the division....and would likely have tiebreakers in our favor should we end tied.

I don't, Hopalong. This is an annual pattern. Most of you asshats start the year with unbridled optimism. Me? Not so much. As you fuckers jump ship, one-by-one, I become more optimistic.

Yes....I think we'll take all three home games. That's nine wins. And truthfully, my prediction.....we're taking two of three on the road, maybe losing in the Georgia Dome. That would be the preferred lost game if we're to lose another, being an NFC foe.

Put us at 11-5...not in great stead for a #2, but possibly.

Not sure how we can lose to the Titans and still make the playoffs...........
I know they will not be mathematically eliminated..........
To me..........Its a must win.
Falling to 6-5 going into the break........

will need the rest of the defense back to defend the Saints attack....
as well as AJ Green, Sanu Gresham...twice...
at Atlanta....will be another bad teams Super Bowl.
KC have played the Steelers well, run the ball well and get after the QB

Saints at home ( playing better)
at Cincy
at Atlanta
KC at home
Cincy at home.

Losing to the Titans means we most likley have to win 4 of the final 5.........to get to 10-6....and hope for tiebreakers?

I am hoping they go down to play the Titans as a desperate and embarressed team........
I am hoping next week and the bye provides another two weeks for Ben to develope some more cohesion with Wheaton and Bryant.
and hoping that another two weeks will give a full month off for Troy, Shazier, Shamarko (assuming they are out again vs. the Titans)............along with Ike and Jarvis..................... giving the Steelers the depth and versatility down the strech.

Could be, Stosh.....see if it gets any traction.

And it's hard to disagree with your postion, re: next game. I'm just saying even if we lose next week, I'm not jumping ship. Hell....last year at 2-6, I was laying out the path to the playoffs....and....was fending off naysayers after we lost five in a row in '09. Granted, neither year did we make the playoffs, but were in it until the final week.

But you're right. Fuck!! Last week, along with the admonition of Don't Fuck Up, we were looking at 8-3 going into the bye. So yeah, gotta have 7-4.

#2 seed?

I think we'll be lucky to make the playoffs. We shit the season down our leg in the 1st quarter yesterday.

I hope I'm wrong, but if you can't beat the Jests, how can you realistically expect to win more than half of the remaining 6?

I say 9-7, watching Cleveland And Cincy (2 wins vs Rats) in the playoffs.

Save our Soles?
Same ol Steelers?
Save our Steelers?

what was it again?......
oh Scared of Shadow.......lol.

I know you have had to explain the Potted Plant tag over and over again........
and I'm sure you will tell me that I still don't really understand it myself and will have to explain the origin again..........lol.

So you better be ready to deliver a well developed line of bullshit in regards to the SOS Tomlin.........if you need to use it in the future.
I hope not.

I'm going to work on it, Stosh. I like the concept, but not quite the sound of SOS.

Lousy article....and worse analysis

Clearly ...the 3 most important games are

Cin
Cleve
Chefs

They lose and Steelers win ....we are riding high

This is why you're The Village Fuckin' Idiot STD. Cinci & KC both play NFC opponents this week. It's insulting to any reader with a modicum of intelligence (you're disqualified) to remind that they need to root for an NFC team in such contests.

DON'T FUCK UP!

I'll always remember that line from the Giants game at Roggie's. You had the entire room laughing on that one, Swiss!

Great article.

Swiss, I believe you have added to his moniker:

The Morbidly Obese Village Fuckin' Idiot.

That is unless eating all those avocado salads got him under the 400 lbs mark.

You're right....at times, the moniker is a bit less expansive, but I'll try to maintain the formality going forward.

Hahaha!! Yeah, I remember that '58. And that game was a GREAT example of Steelers winning despite an amount of dumbfuckedness by the brain trust. Remember that dumb as shit fake FG?
