So your argument is that wins only count if they are against non-garbage teams? Unique perspective.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:46 pmYes they won KC. But if not for the inept other teams there inability to do anon the second half would have cost this team. Yes they won on the road short week still no where near a playoff team. But you beat garbage so it does not matter

Did you see what happened after they did?
This is a better team than last season's. It took awhile to get there, but this team is going to be tough to beat for anybody.
We're putting together drives on a consistent basis and soon, they'll start ending in TD's.

Yeah. I'm in the "falcons beat themselves more than the steelers did" boat. Although I can also recognize pickett is getting better, and the O line is gelling enough to get 100 yards on the ground. Also, 3rd down conversions are happening at an alarming rate - in the first half. . !

The Colts helped Steelers when they garbaged KC while the home team has mgd to remain undefeated in the division.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 10:01 pmWe're gonna sweep that division next week!!Steelperch wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:54 pmSteelers gonna fuck around and win the NFC South this year
I seriously doubt that's true.

No way. If Minkah scores, the Falcons get the ball back and have the chance to score and onside kick/score again. However unlikely that scenario, it's more likely than the Falcons getting the ball back if Minkah doesn't score, considering they had no timeouts and the Steelers could kneel a couple times to end the game.Texas Black & Gold wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:04 pmIf it was a clear path to EZ. Yeah, the Steelers have benefitted from game-changing calls and non-calls the last two weeks.Kodiak. wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:06 pmAlso a fumble overturn.Professor Half Wit wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 9:04 pmThat was DPI on the Steelers CB. No doubt about it.
Steelers aren't sniffing the playoffs. Every win is a validation of Tomlin/Canada. Winning the battle, losing the war....

I think the OL run blocking is the big story since the bye week. They have been really good, regardless of how you feel about the competition. There have been next to zero blown up run plays until they get into the last series of the game where thy have to run clock, and even then they've run it pretty well in those situations.COR-TEN wrote: ↑Sun Dec 04, 2022 10:06 pmYeah. No one who understands football would attempt to put Pickett and Mahomes on the same level under any circumstanceProfessor Half Wit wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 1:00 amNot a fan of facts, today, big guy?SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:47 amProfessor Half Wit wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 12:23 amMahonnes with nearly identical stat line as Kenny had today.

Aw, bug guy, you're upsetting yourself by making a shitty, unjustified inference. I merely pointed out the stat line. I did not claim they were on the same level. You inferred that yourself.SteelerDayTrader wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 1:10 amNo one who understands football would attempt to put Pickett and Mahomes on the same level under any circumstance

KC your dreaming that this team is better and would have any chance to get out of round 1
With a rookie QB? We'd get our shit pushed BIG TIME just like we did in last year's playoffs.steelmann58 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2022 1:32 amKC your dreaming that this team is better and would have any chance to get out of round 1
Just gotta hope Kenny continues to improve and we add the necessary pieces at LT, CB and I believe we could use one more WR.
A DL difference maker wouldn't hurt either.
If we can successfully address those needs, then this team could win in the playoffs next year.

Kenny has improved each week imo and very Impressed with the way the Ol played looking like they are jelling.I also like the RB combo today as well as the TE play. I still don't understand the second half play calling

We didn’t see the Gentry Screen but we saw the Gunnar Sweep twice in the same game.
The playcalling is slightly better but we haven’t dialed anything up yet. It’s “go out and turn around” passing routes. Not good.
I don’t really care what happens this season but Canada cannot be the OC next Spring. The Steelers need to go out and break the bank for a young offensive mind that the could risk losing as a HC in a few years. It’s the only way Pickett will have a fair chance of being the next FQB.
