I 100% believe it was the exact opposite (and have heard the same from a person who runs in NFL circles) that Brady only returned for the 2022 season when it became clear his marriage was completely over.
Brady was planning on staying retired. When he and Giselle decided the only answer was divorce, only then did Brady decide to come back to the NFL and play another season.
Pretty sure Giselle is banging her yoga coach anyway and probably has been for quite some time.

If it had been 1 year earlier, I'm sure Brady would have ran to San Fran.
He played pretty darn poorly this past season. His supporting cast wasn't as good, but it was clear Brady didn't have it anymore.
Not like he did even a few years ago.
I actually give him credit for realizing it was over. I'll bet even Brady wishes, after the way he played in 2022, that he had stayed retired even if it had given him something to do with himself and focus on after the divorce.
