Cowher on Ben's show
This is really great. Of course I love Cowher so I'm probably biased. Awesome stories and funny.

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
Did they settle the toe controversy?
"that team....We would have won mult....well, of course you know, you won another one 3 years later"
"but, that team....it was like "wow, just don't screw it up". They were set"
Or something like that. Interesting.

And what beers did they pour him?
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Man, listening to Cowher talk about his first coaching staff and the foresight he had about developing an OC from within at all times... the list of names is incredible. Contrast with Tomlin's staff, especially the guys he did not inherit from Cowher.

Cool Breeze has none outside of Bruce Arians. Jibba's coaching tree is Crap.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 2:06 pmMan, listening to Cowher talk about his first coaching staff and the foresight he had about developing an OC from within at all times... the list of names is incredible. Obliteration Is Imminent
They did an IPA and some food. He also gave him a beer he keeps on tap at the start and Cowher gave Ben crap for giving him a smaller glass so later he gave him a huge mug. There were a lot of laughs and good stories. Cowher is great. Really miss him on the sidelines. You can't fake the love, pride and intensity he displayed 24/7.

I couldn’t make it through the Shazier episode…started getting cringy in my humble opinion. Maybe the episode got better.
I have liked just about every episode otherwise.

Liked how he went in and gave his side of the story of the 2004 Draft.. I remember that day posting with other fans on the stillers forums.. we expected Phillip Rivers to drop towards us not Ben since we all ranked Ben ahead of Rivers. When Rivers was the one picked for the Eli Swap.. we were all nervous cause we knew how much Cowher liked Shawn Andrews and that RB from Oregon St..RemoAZ wrote: ↑Wed May 10, 2023 3:46 pmThey did an IPA and some food. later in the week posters were saying Cowher got veto'd and Ben was going to be the pick... Which I will always believe because as you can tell in the pod.. Bill was really frustrated by the way Ben played.. the way he played went against almost everything Bill wanted in a QB
Kudos for Bill to know when to hang it up, I do think the game passed him by.. Now if we can get Tomlin to go elsewhere...
See, I was pleased when Rivers got picked before us, because even if he could be steered away from obese linemen, I figured for sure he would have opted for the NCSt kid given a QB choice. And hey, the Bills ended up with JP Lose Man out of that draft, so there's your gamble that didn't pay off.

It didn't come up, but when they mentioned the 2004 AFCCG (twice), Ben automatically said "asterisk."
After watching this episode, I watched the Tomlin episode. I actually enjoyed both episodes very much, and I am a huge critic of both.
