The Steelers are on pace for 17 offensive TDs

Post by tbsteel » Sun Oct 08, 2023 8:42 pm

For the record, this would easily be the lowest amount in the NFL in the past decade of offensive football.

The last team to score that few TDs? The 2012 Kansas City Chiefs that finished 2-14. Before that, the 2-14 St. Louis Rams in 2011 and the 2-14 Carolina Panthers in 2010.

You know what happened to all three of those head coaches? All were fired. The OCs? Same.

Just FYI.

Better bet is which is higher at the end of the year. Watt sack total or Pickett TD passes.

TJ Watt may destroy the sack record.

They are also on pace to be 10-7 or maybe 11-6.
Can you imagine once the offense gets going?

He will have to if this team hopes to win 9 games.

Today we were missing Calvin Austin, Diontae Johnson and Pat Freiermuth.

Darnell Washington was invisible and Gunner and Miles Boykin played meaningful snaps.

I think we should have put up 40.

This team’s floor is NHALS. I think many of you will have to wish upon a star if you want a chance at a top 10 pick, which inexplicably seems to be the goal on this board at least more so than winning.

Out of the 17 TDs we are on pace to score; how many would be offensive vs defensive? Cause we can't be on pace to score 17 with this RB coach & OC?

We have 5 TDs on offense (lil ken has thrown 5 TDs and we have no rushing TDs).

The defense/STs have scored 3 times: 2 TDs and 1 safety.

We're on pace for 0 rushing TDs for the season. No way that holds up, but it's shocking that the Steelers have no rushing TDs through 5 games.

Jibbs foolishly believes he can win with a single TD and some FGs.

So the team is on track to accomplish his standard.

Thanks TBSteel. I was trying to look it up. I'm not fast enough. Lol!

But, 17 or even less than 17, by an offense is horrific.

Pretty wild through five games the D/ST is only two TDs behind the offense.
