I feel like the selection of an All-Doorslammer team is the obvious, logical next step in this progression.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Good player. Not great.
“Being a fan is fine, but there is a line you can cross that makes it really unhealthy,” said Ken Yeager, PhD, a mental health expert in the department of psychiatry at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

Much deserved TJ! Get well soon!!
Joins Rod Woodson and Jack Ham for most All-Pro selections in their first seven seasons in Steelers history.
Oops! Meant to say Fraud Woodson and Jackoff Ham. Fellow bums who nobody will remember.

Meh. So what.
STD has convinced me that Watt is no good, not an impact player, disappears in games.

Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

I thought white guys sucked at football?

You know, I was daydreaming about how cool it would be to replace Robin Cole from those mid to late 70's Steelers teams with Watt.
Ham was the greatest coverage linebacker I've ever seen. Lambert....wasn't human. He was an Animal. Greenwood and White scared the living shit out of tackles and Holmes and Joe Greene absolutely fucking destroyed offenses between the tackles.
Could you imagine Watt on those teams?
Teams might have fucking punted on first down.
I understand they played a 4-3 back then, but TJ can cover too. No fucking way you're stopping LC Greenwood and Watt on the same side when it comes to rushing the passer.
QB's seriously might have died.

Post Watt’s career Sacks and TFL in the 4th Quarter
Then subtract any not against a division foe with a winning record or playoff team from the same year they occur (I.e. not playoff teams from the previous year)

Shouldn’t take long. I’m sure you have all the data for all the greats compiled already. You’re definitely not just picking on a draft pick you hated.

Share your spreadsheet, monkey. I’m certain it totally exists.

He maybe should be getting crowned with his 2nd DPOY. He's at least as impactful as the competition if not more so.

In that era he would have been a DE most likely. Plays at 250 now and DE's back then weighed in at 260 pounds. But to your point, he would be on the field and yes he would dominate.K_C_ wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 8:29 pmYou know, I was daydreaming about how cool it would be to replace Robin Cole from those mid to late 70's Steelers teams with Watt.

Another projection fantasy going back to that era. Dermontti Dawson at guard next to Mike Webster. Holly fuck the holes would be so big that the Chief could have run for gains.

Obviously you hold all great pass rushers to the same standard. You definitely don't have it in for a draft pick you hated.
Just post the stats from your database that surely exists.
That's what's crazy about Watt next to Greenwood.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 4:35 pmIn that era he would have been a DE most likely. Watt would be a linebacker who is basically as big as the defensive ends were back then, but he also has the ability to drop into coverage which Greenwood and Dwight White obviously could not do.
Watt could. Back then you were allowed to maul receivers too and Watt would fuckin love that. He might kill somebody.

This is not about other players
It’s about the fact Watt has never come close to being a clutch performer
Good player. Sometimes great
Pretty much 0 - for career in the clutch

Back then the Steelers would never have any tape of Watt playing OLB because he most likely would have been a DE exclusively at Wisconsin.K_C_ wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 6:20 pmThat's what's crazy about Watt next to Greenwood.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Sat Jan 13, 2024 4:35 pmIn that era he would have been a DE most likely. I don't remember Noll/ Carson converting college DE's into 4-3 OLB.
It wasn't until the Cowher/Lebeau era that the Steelers started to draft college DE's and turning them into 3-4 OLB.
Aaron Smith was 260 pounds soaking wet when he came into the league. Steelers let him grow into 3-4 DE beast.
in any era Watt would dominate no matter where he lined up.
Do they need to consider themselves a super genius?Mason_Almighty wrote: ↑Fri Jan 12, 2024 7:37 pmWe need a wheelchair bound basement dweller to expound on this.
