If they win, odds that they play Baltimore on Saturday.

If there's any possibility of it working in our favor, the Steelers did win when they league screwed them over twice during the covid season. Of course they crashed and burned the week after the Ravens " we won't travel " debacle but they did win the games they the league kept moving.

Also, the Steelers last playoff win, against KC in 2017, was a game where the time was moved because of winter weather.

Let's hope Tomlin's ability to rally the troops in situations like this is better than Buffalo's ability to adapt.

Monday weather in Buffalo doesn’t look that much better.

It is a crock of shit!

Covid 2.0

Definitely playing Baltimore on 5 days…can see it now.

The Buffalo Bills have a record of 21-31 on Mondays all-time.

I think the NFL already promised somewhere that anyone that plays on Monday wouldn’t play again until Sunday.

I.e. the Philly/Tampa winner would get a Sunday game for the divisional round.

They will not make the winner of this game play Saturday.

Meh. The only thing that sucks about this is the early time on Monday, but at least it’s a holiday for most. If Steelers cannot beat the Bills absent a blizzard, then they don’t deserve to win.

So how will the Steelers spend a snowy cold day in Buffalo?

Take turns on the hotel's fitness machines?

Visit Niagara Falls in a blizzard?

Study the playbook?

Watch TV all day?

Let's hope they have a plan.

Here We Go Steelers

It’s going to be colder, but the snow will be mostly wrapped up.

The wind is also forecast to be less….bet 15-17 mph, with gusts up to around 30.

If there’s a HC in the league who will turn the extra day into a serious advantage through film study and scheming, it’s Tomlin.

Yeah, I don't think this is a net negative for Steelers. They hadn't left for Buffalo, though might have been better if they were already all there together. Still cold, still gonna be some snow....not as windy i think Steelers benefit. Historical shit doesn't matter but Steelers won last two weather postponements, yes, in KC in 2016, and also Ben's first start, in Miami, in 2004. I think Steelers game plan stays the same.

Steelers win this one, then in Baltimore next Sunday.

And....there was also some travel bullshit during Hurricane Sandy in 2012 when Steelers went into the Meadowlands and beat the Giants. JL58 & I watched that game together at a Steelers bar in Chestnut Hill, MA....since been closed due to some coverup over a kid from Australia who fell down stairs, almost died, and the bar paid no attention.

That Miami game had more slop than the 2007 3-0 game.

Anyone who feels the Steelers are “getting screwed” is pretty much admitting the Steelers are so much worse than the Bills that they can’t win without the help of the elements.

Good news as far as I'm concerned.

Mason is going to fling jizz on these guys if the wind isn't terrible.

1-2’ forecast…use the forecast for Orchard Park, not Buffalo.

About 5” forecast scheduled to fall during the game itself, with winds averaging 30 mph and gusts up to 65 mph.

https://www.accuweather.com/en/us/orcha ... st/2128285

And that’s just the game time…have to take into account fans getting to and leaving the game from all around.

Barely 6 inches from what I am seeing at Orchard Park. Fucking Big Grocery!

That is like Phoenix, Dallas and Miami hitting 100 degrees in summer. Like San Fran getting fog.

What a crock. I hate waiting!

or at least that they think Josh Allen is better than Mason Rudolph. You can reasonably argue that we have the advantage on D and running game.

I guess we were all pussies in 1932 as well, when the first playoff game in NFL history was played…indoors at Chicago Stadium on a non-regulation field.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/1932_NFL_Playoff_Game
The game was set to be played at Wrigley Field, the Bears' home stadium, but due to severe blizzards followed by extremely cold temperatures and wind chill, the game was moved indoors to Chicago Stadium.
My favorite story from that game is also recalled at the Wiki link…there had been a circus there the previous week, and the arena still smelled like elephant poop, which caused a Bears player to vomit.

🤣
