Mike Tomlin leaving podium when asked about having a year left on his contract #Steelers #NFL

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I was saying early in the game, I think we've seen the last of Mike Tomlin.

I don't think he wants to do this anymore.

Seriously.

Here's the whole presser from the Steeler's channel. They end it before that part.

When the reality comes crashing down like a Boeing 737 with a blown out door.

LOL.

He looked ill on the sideline, not like someone who was confident. Same fucking look he had before the JAX playoff game.

He doesn't do well in these playoff games physically, if you will.

Steelers lose Tomlin be prepared for a few years of a rebuild with new players and new coaches new system. Looking at 7-10 for a few years without him.

If they had replaced him 5 years ago we'd already be past that stage. And we wouldnt be any worse off.

That’s a negative mind talking there. It can be fixed quick. See damico Ryans

DeMeco Ryans plus a bunch of high draft picks, a stud young QB, WRs and a coach-in-waiting OC genius.

Biggest problem on this team is Pickett. Blame Tomlin for drafting and playing him. He has been cuddled

I will take the risk of finishing below .500 if it means there's also a chance of landing the next great head coach.

No one knew who fucking Mike Tomlin was before the Steelers hired him. The notion that the Steelers should be scared to replace him because it could be worse is basically an admittance that you don't trust your own processes.

Dude just ended a tough season with a tough playoff game where I thought they kept it more competitive than they should have considering the early turnovers,.the scrubs they had at LB, a 3rd string QB starting, and not having Watt. It was exactly the kind of question I'd walk away from, too.

Tomlin has been jizzed on in the playoffs so many times he's probably pretty irritable.

Maybe.

Still need to see him with a real OC and a real offensive system.

Like it or not, the Steelers drafted him in the 1st and have provided him zero support.

There is a reason he was named captain, and there is a reason he is well-liked in the locker room. The players knew what he was being told to do under Canada. The one game he was free of Canada he looked much better.

Tomlin is a conservative tight ass and didn’t want Kenny to turn the ball over. He did what he was told to do.

I’m not ready to toss Pickett in the trash just yet. If they bring back Tomlin and let him hire the OC? Kenny might ask for a trade.

The Bills took the pedal off the gas. When they needed to score, they drove down the field at will.

But you believe what you want, Tomlin ballwashers. Only losing by 14 is now a moral victory.

Houston turned it around from much further down to much further up... in one season. One. Pick the right offensive mind and the right QB... turnaround is possible.

Proof has been shown by many teams. We have to get out of this purgatory as Orange stated in game day thread

Cool, but I don’t trust Art ii to do it.
