Even if Tomlin and staff know KP is a bust that won't stop them from giving him one more year(or a start to such). Camp should be really interesting at the QB position especially if they bring in a wild card.
I was at that game. Was Sunday Night Football against the Ravens.
Thumped their asses. Ben had back to back 6 TD weeks.

I look forward to seeing Mr. Long Ball, Mason Rudolph, raining bombs down upon Pickens and CA3.
If Pickett starts this season, the fans will openly revolt after about the third punt or the first dropped pick (he was incredibly lucky with dropped INTs last year). They will be far less forgiving than they were this past season.
It will become an untenable situation at home games.
No pressure lil kenny.

Cool thing about that game for us was this…gojira5150 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 4:44 pmThat was Insane. That will never happen again. Ben BETTER be a 1st ballot HOF.
Took the family on an east coast trio to DC. Getting mixed in was Gettysburg and Pittsburgh for a Steelers game.
Told son we could do the Steelers game the front end of the trip which would have been a day game vs the Colts or the back-end of the trip which was SNF against the Ravens.
I said we have a better shot at beating the Colts given Ravens games can go either way.
He wanted SNF against Ravens.
After Ben hung 6 TDs against the Colts we were both like awww man we missed that.
Made it all the sweeter when he had another 6 TD performance the following week against our rival.
Ah the good ole days. With lil Ken it takes 6-8 weeks (or more) for him to generate 6 TDs.

C’mon man! Little Kenny has one whole TD pass more in two years than Ben threw in those 2 weeks. Aren’t you excited about what Kenny can do? I know I am…along with Omar, Shades, Artie, and A2!955876 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 02, 2024 5:50 pmCool thing about that game for us was this…gojira5150 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 28, 2024 4:44 pmThat was Insane. Just a reminder that Little Kenny played at Pitt, and Mikey Cool Shades has never had a losing season!

Good ole PR Pickett. We just need to be patient. He will finally put up some decent numbers when he hits year 5.Just a reminder that Little Kenny played at Pitt
We might win our next playoff game by then too.

I was impressed with the Milton kid. I get he’s a project but holy shit. He’s got all the physical tools Kenny doesn’t.
Pickett will get to start the season. There will be a veteran brought into compete if not Mason, and the leash will be shorter than people think.
If Tannehill is sitting on the bench and Pickett's offense is anemic as last year (that's what matters to me - situational football > fantasy football numbers), I'd hardly be surprised if he's pulled after a few games public votes of confidence be damned.

Hopefully, and not sure there is reason to be hopeful, having a former HC on the team instead of whatever Canada was will supr Kenny on and allow him to flourish like we know he possibly can.

Yes we know he possesses intangibles that could possibly help him flourish.
Or flush himself out of the league.

Yep, not enthralled at prospect of Kenny season 3 but what is the alternative?
Sign a vet like Wilson or trade up in draft?
If PS do trade up, who would you be comfortable with them sacrificing picks for or sitting at 20 and taking...
Nix, Daniels, Penix or McCarthy?
Maybe it is time to gamble because with a Vet or MR/KP at QB that stinks of another mediocre season that isn't quite bad enough to get into the mix for a top 10 pick and a shot a QB prospect.

I actually agree with B2B on this. The best thing to do is let Kenny play so it removes all doubt, especially with the so-called Steelers brain trust, that he's a complete bust. '24 will be sacrificed, but whatever it takes.

I felt myself coming around a little on Nix this past week, but it was probably just combine hype, and isn't even a possibility, anyway, so...
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
The downside of this is that you are burning another year off the careers of every quality player currently on the roster.

I'm a big believer that if the FO isn't sold on Kenny, then it is their duty to look at drafting QB. They haven't shown interest of course so it's a moot point. But, you have to keep rolling the dice.
The defense is already getting on the older side and needs replenishment despite a lot of draft capital thrown it's way. Let's assume we wait and don't draft a QB til 2025 draft. Cam and Larry O are close to done. TJ Watt will be 31 during that QBs rookie year. He'll be 32 before the rookie is even ready to compete for a SB (assuming everything goes perfectly). Minkah will be pushing 30. Basically we are going to be aged out on D.
That's why I'm not opposed to rolling the dice on a 2nd round QB or trade back first rounder.

Please give a rest with the "little Pickett" bullshit. He is 6'3" 220 which is probably bigger than the dumb fuck who started this thread.
Caleb Williams is 6'1" 215. Justin Fields is 6'3" 225 Joe Burrow is 6'4" 215 Kyler Murray is the real midget at 5'10" 207
Rounding out the division is DeShawn "happy ending" Watson at 6'3" 223 and the running back in Baltimore 6'2" 215.
Jalen Hurts 6'1" 223 and jesus himself at 6'2" 225.
WOW what a size difference...

Now do hand size, or does that no fit your narrative?Baltostiller wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:19 pmPlease give a rest with the "little Pickett" bullshit. He is 6'3" 220 which is probably bigger than the dumb fuck who started this thread.

He's called lil ken because his play on the field is so.... little. Little passes, little to no TDs, little to no game-changing or highlight worthy plays.Baltostiller wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2024 8:19 pmPlease give a rest with the "little Pickett" bullshit. So Pickett's hands measured at 8-1/2" but his thumb is double jointed so he can better grip the ball.
Guess who's hands measured at 9"...Joe Burrow, Jared Goff and Ryan Tannehill.
Guess who's hands measured the biggest...Jim Druckenmiller, Cody Kessler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Ryan Mallett and Heath Shuler. A veritable murderers row of accomplished Qb's
Give the bullshit hand size nonsense a rest.

I had no idea on Kenny's thumb double-jointedness. Learn something new every day.

If the Steelers somehow draft Penn State OT Olu Fashanu, they can have the smallest hands ever measured at the NFL combine at QB and OT both on their roster.
Dare to dream.
