Good on the ? for local on the WVU kids. Still not sure how those lines are drawn. Either of them actually WPA kids?
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...

Fittipaldo has an article out today saying they count as local. I genuinely don't know how the NFL draws the line either:

Also of note, he confirmed 2 other visits:
March: Georgia OT Amarius Mims, Missouri DE Darius Robinson

I found this…
Metropolitan area” is defined as contiguous suburbs. There isn’t a 25-mile, 50-mile, or any other type of mileage radius rule. The league office uses the 2011 Rand-McNally Road Atlas to determine the metropolitan area of a city.
I’m assuming Morgantown is close enough to Pittsburgh for the league to count it as local.
Yeah...I think I've read that before too.Steelperch wrote: ↑Fri Apr 12, 2024 7:03 pmI found this…

It's sort of academic anyway because we have confirmation that the list is accurate. If the Steelers end up bringing in 7 more prospects then we'll know for sure.
Quick comment for anyone reading this - I have the visit list organized by position, but I'll post a spreadsheet when visits are all said and done that organizes prospects by ranking and will include things like pro day attendance.
I think we can all agree that CB, WR, and O-Line are going to be picked in the first 3 rounds, just depends on the order. DL will be a mid-round pick unless they really like Fiske or Robinson.

Bet the ranch on WR in the second!I think we can all agree that CB, WR, and O-Line are going to be picked in the first 3 rounds, just depends on the order.
“Ah, who cares about Seattle’s Space Needle? Dumb looking building, you can see the whole stupid town, built by some jagoff! Pittsburgh got Mt. Warshington, gorgeous hillside, beautiful views of the whole city, built by God…we win!” - Pittsburgh Dad
If I were a betting man I'd definitely take those odds.
CB or OL in Round 1.
WR in the 2nd.
CB/OL in Round 3.
DL and LB get picked in the middle/late rounds.
Edge, TE, and Safety are nowhere to be found in the draft process. Looks like they're set with Benton and Adams at NT as well.

Two more OL pre-draft visitors for Steelers today:
• Washington T Troy Fautanu
• South Dakota State G Mason McCormick
Fautanu played the left side at Washington but with a lefty QB in Michael Penix. Both he and McCormick have position flexibility, maybe even center-capability
Missed this over the weekend, but apparently Kaboly is saying that Ladd McConkey was in for a visit at some point.
Going to toss it into unconfirmed for the moment.

We have our first LB sighting!

Steelers draft visitors on the final day of top-30 visits: Travis Clayton, tackle from England who is on the International Pathway program; Hunter Nourzad, offensive lineman from Penn State; Junior Colson, LB from Michigan.
That's officially the end for pre draft visits.
If nothing else, we can confirm that West Virginia is in fact a local school. Someone write that down for next year.

Hey, I'm not the only one interested in Hunter Nourzad for the Steelers. Yay.
Trying to figure out who went to Penn St pro day. No specific info i can find, but a local source said “coaches and scouts from all 32 teams were present”. Looking at options, it really feels like the steelers will want to be going center in the midrounds…in a deep draft at C and having a roster with glaring needs at premium positions WR/OT/CB, really don’t want to be taking a center early, but at the same time we need a plug and play starter.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 4:13 pmHey, I'm not the only one interested in Hunter Nourzad for the Steelers. Mid round center allows them to take a guy like Brian Thomas Jr if he's on the board. They seem to be striking out trying to land Aiyuk.Mick wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:23 pmTrying to figure out who went to Penn St pro day. Nourzd was not 100% healthy and didn't work out there, so there may have been less interest in being in State College. I think he may have done a later workout last week.Mick wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2024 5:23 pmTrying to figure out who went to Penn St pro day. 5 of our 7 picks came for official visits, and Roman Wilson was high on their radar. Very few surprise picks
