The shorts and hoodie look like they are both Steelers garb. Dude looks fucking serious and like he's got something to prove. In that less than 1 minute rap music video of a workout, he showed better footwork and a stronger arm than any of the three numbnuts we've been watching for the last two years.

Khan find a way to get Aiyuk, for a third & something else, so we can grab a RT & C in the first 2 rounds of the draft to protect this guy. I'm getting psyched!!!

I remember when the Steelers should have drafted Brady Quinn because he had abs. I think it was Ron who liked to post shirtless pictures of him. Plus, his name was Brady. How could he fail?

I'm really unimpressed by the fact that Wilson looks good on air. Wilson's issues are, in my view, mental. Which is a good thing and a bad thing. He's not a beaten up old man, he hasn't lost the ability to run despite a lot of people claiming he has, and his arm isn't shot. But he's not the same guy he was. That is undeniable.

I don't think there's any comparison between Russell Wilson and Brady Quinn. It's unreasonable to think that Russ will play like he did in 2015, but if he comes in and plays like he did in Denver last year it would still be the best QB play the Steelers have had in several years. RW gives the Steelers a slight chance at being relevant next year, which is something. Sure, RW might crash and burn, but if he has a late career rebound like Kurt Warner or even Carson Palmer, then he will make the Steelers better.

What I don't understand is the Justin Fields hype. Fields has never done anything to suggest he's more than a back-up in this league. He barely outplayed Tyler Bagent. I have more faith in Russell "Has Been" Wilson than Justin "Never Was" Fields.

oh, hell yeah, fuck those niner's receivers, this big boy would be an absolute perfect fit for Artie's Offensive philosophy. Not too mention our starting QB seems to still have sumptin left in that arm

I’m now of the belief the Steelers will get neither Aiyuk or Metcalf because their respective teams won’t let them go. They are too dynamic to what both teams want to do on offense.

Steelers kind of fucked themselves in the WR department and we have cash to spend. Pretty stupid and hope it doesn’t burn us. We are ultra thin with talent at WR. Any of our top guys get dinged it’s going to be terrifying.

100% agree with this. Overall the off-season has on paper really improved the talent on the team. If they can get the big name receiver (definitely trying), then a great off season.

Without the receiver, one Pickens injury could make the O on par with last year.

Tomlin probably wants this so he has an excuse to revert the offense to the Wing T and avoid passing all together.

“Why did you call 55 straight rushing plays today, coach?”

“Well, obviously, depth at the wide receiver position is an ongoing concern. And with Marquez Callaway going down in pregame warmups after I pushed him in front of the equipment cart, we felt it best to put the contest on the shoulders of our defense.

We will continue to monitor the situation and wish Marquez a speedy recovery. In the meantime, we will be activating Mark Bruener to the starting roster until Marquez returns. “

Freiermuth, Washington, Little Hey and the RBs are going to have to be the best receiving versions of themselves in this offense, regardless of what transpires (or more likely doesn't) at WR leading into the season.

Again, quickly, name the #2 or 3 WRs of note in any of Artie's successful offenses in Tennessee.

Corey Davis is about the only one worth a damn.

Was the only one that came to mind for me, too. Not a long and distinguished list. If Pickens can take the next step, and the TEs and RBs pull their weight (TE is my biggest question mark there), what we have, we can make do with.

A healthy Russell Wilson is a quarterback I can get excited about. He has been a winner the majority of his career.

Pittsburgh right now is a better environment than Seattle was when he was traded, or Denver when he arrived. Seattle was trending downward and prepping for a rebuild. Denver was flatlined and wishing for a spike.

The Steelers are essentially getting a free look at an established upper echelon winner with something to prove. Playing well will push the narrative that it was organizational failure the past few seasons, not player inadequacy.

I hope you are right about Wilson and his previously elite credentials being a fit for the Steelers @Steel Bingo , because Justin Fields is younger and has athletic ability you cannot teach or just find every day.

Given a little experience, as well as time away from the Bears, he may just out perform Russ, or any of the other QBs in the North. With the beatings he has taken and the core receivers that look to be long gone after next off season, Runway Joe and the Bengals best days could be well behind them.
