Christ Mims was just an epic bust at this level.

Never gonna understand that one.

The Thompson cut is fairly surprising.

I wonder if there was an altercation between the two during mini camp... because there is little cap savings or other obvious justification for releasing them, at this time in the year.

Of course this is completely speculation on my part, but I can't think of any other logical reason to do it.

There are absolutely other "lesser" players on the roster they could have let go, if the team was trying to create roster space for potential signings.

I think they did not think he was over his injury.

I suppose that's possible, but there is a specific protocol for releasing players due to injury, and I don't believe that was the path- so IF they released him due to injury related issues- I would imagine there will be a players union complaint filed. Again, just conjecture here.

Letting him go because he was deemed healthy but the org thinking he was a risk is possible.

Guaranteed part is they wouldn’t / didn’t give the reason for letting him go as he may still be at risk.
