Rumor: Steelers to be on the in-season Hard Knocks show
Totally unverified, but I've heard a rumor the AFC North is going to be the featured division on this year's in-season Hard Knocks.
Last year, the in-season Hard Knocks was just on a single team, the Dolphins. They've changed the format this year to show an entire division to have more storyline potential. Word is that it's going to be the AFC North this year.
We'll see if/when it's verified, but wanted to pass along.

I love Hard Knocks, the in-season version is even better, just a great show.
I have always wanted the Steelers on there, I mean I watched the Dolphins and Ravens every week, production does a great job.
Can’t wait for the Bears this Summer, basically to just laugh at Caleb Williams

I’d be for it as well since it might shed some light on what Tomlin does.

It sounds like Tomlin's little "film cave" is probably too small for camerasOrangesteel wrote: ↑Mon Jun 03, 2024 3:38 pmI’d be for it as well since it might shed some light on what Tomlin does.
Now confirmed. The Steelers and the rest of the AFC North will be on the in-season Hard Knocks this season:

My man must have spent the whole OTAs and will certainly spend countless hours in camp and preseason....
Conjuring up new phrases and sound bites for Hard Knocks.
Gonna be another season of having to hear how brilliant he is.
Unless of course, this is finally how his coaching inadequacies will finally come under a bigger light

Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”
To be fair, it's more purgatory than hell.RemoAZ wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 4:18 amOur only hope of getting out of hell in less than 4 years.Stosh-67 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2024 7:53 pmMy man must have spent the whole OTAs and will certainly spend countless hours in camp and preseason....

I was hopeful that the TIC-TOK me first attitude had finally been exorcised from the locker room. Now this. At best it will be a minor distraction for the team. Maybe the team is used to having cameras around all the time so it's no big deal. Call me skeptical.
This is hilarious. They (media and fanboys) are going to fawn over everything Shades does and says, as if he’s reinventing the game. The pedestal is only going to get higher!Unless of course, this is finally how his coaching inadequacies will finally come under a bigger light.
I am more pissed that the schedule is that way to make good drama for Hard Knocks but since the NFL is moving to the WWE style of entertainment, I should have expected it.

As I have said several times, though, the Steelers have not won a playoff game in seven seasons and have only won three of their last 12 since 2010. And there is only one constant through all of that, and that is Tomlin. Let me reiterate that point: In the last seven seasons, the Steelers have changed both coordinators, the general manager, the quarterback, most of the roster, a host of other assistant coaches and even a number of people in the front office.
The only thing that has remained the same is Tomlin, yet somehow he escapes any and all criticism for the collective body of work over seven seasons.
Coach Mike and his jumbled up brain will be on full display.
Maybe this is why he got that extension.
Maybe this is why he got that extension.
"I'm institutionalized, man," he joked. "I gotta have it. I just love the challenges week in and week out that this job provides: the growth in it, the collective growth, the individual growth."

Nothing but truth Jobu. The Steelers org has the final say on production cuts/what gets aired etc, they will assure Mediocre Mike looks like Vince Lombardi.Jobu wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2024 9:08 pmThis is hilarious.
