I wouldn’t touch a Pat or Cam extension with a hundred foot pole. One has shown next to nothing and the other is easing his way into retirement.

Throwing $$$ at these two would be a symptom of a much larger problem and we need to start doing things differently because it ain’t working.

I totally agree on the Cam one he in his twilight of his career and should not be getting any big extension.

I’ll lose my mind if Cam gets an extension. I’m not a huge Freiermuth fan either, but I could probably live with him getting one if it’s reasonable. It’s going to be a long year gentleman. I think the wheels are finally going to fall off. We could be looking at a six or seven win team.

The fact they are saying they don't plan to offer either QB before the season should tell you they are fully prepared to rebuild next year if that's what it takes to improve. Neither Freiermuth nor Najee are above average––hell, you could make a pretty strong case that they're both below average. Same is true with the QBs. There is absolutely no reason to rush to extend average to below-average players. They are by definition replaceable.
