Doorslammers Giants
On a night almost all of us expected a trap game the Steelers lived down to that but did enough at the end to overcome the mighty Daniel Jones and the NY Giants.
Lots of Steelers deserve mention
Corliss Waitman
Chris Boswell
Van Jefferson
Dan Moore
Najee Harris
All played real well
On the D side Alex Highsmith was the lone standout on a mostly bad and gutless night for the defense for most of the game. I guess Low Watt deserves some mention for his stat padding performance but I had better to say about him before he and his D side slackers made us white knuckle the ending. Again
Also have to mention Tomlin and OC Smith broke tendencies fairly often on offense
The always coveted Doorie Award goes to Calvin Austin III Beanie Bishop and the unreal Doorie regular George Pickens. CA3 broke out with a TD on special teams and offense.
George Pickens is one of the most dangerous players in the league and easily the most dangerous on the Steelers. If the Steelers are ever going to be contenders this year it will be because they kept Pickens on the field and fed him the ball at times and used his presence on the field to free up others other times. It isn’t unnoticed that Pickens is also willing to throw down with anyone at anytime. He could’ve played in eras when the NFL was still a brawling tough guy league and dominated then as well.
Beanie Bishop shows up big late yet again. Clutch gene possibility for this guy !!
Congrats on slamming that door boys !!!
The Steelers lead the AFC North and the Ravens by one game.
They don’t look like a team you’d put money on to beat the Bills Texans or Chiefs but they are performing better than almost all of us expected.
Is Mike Tomlin the new NFL QB whisperer ?? Lol.
Next up on the road against a standout Jayden Daniels and a confident and hungry Commanders team

Watt essentially ended the game.
Secure NHALS early and then go deep into the PLAYOFFS.

Defense is kinda Meh but they tend to make the play when it's needed. Just wish it was more complimentary with the offense.
23-9. Renegade. Give up td to blow the momentum.
3rd down defense is maddening sometimes. Commanders game could be a shoot out with our high scoring offense

Lolololz
I actually gave Low Watt a Doorie award UNTIL he and his slacker cohorts made it a game at the end.
Thank God for Beanie Bishop closing things out while Low Watt was taking a breather and toweling off. You know at like the most crucial drive of the game.

No Calvin Austin or Watt?
BTW genius the reason for so many hold calls on the Giants was Watt.

I thought everyone said we needed to get rid of Pick because his attitude is not good and he can't contribute and he's not a Steeler a real one and he is unlikable and is a locker room cancer and could be a bad influence to others and other bad things that I learned about in Catholic grade school from the extremely pious nuns that taught me how to be a good person.

You do realize he did that so you could respond exactly the way you responded?Dan Smith--BYU wrote: ↑Tue Oct 29, 2024 4:17 amReading is fundamental but so is putting the main point first in the post and not hidden in the bullshit

I actually awarded Low Watt a much sought after Doorie UNTIL he and his cohorts on defense let the mighty NY Giants make a game of it at the end
When Low Watt on rare occasion DOES make a notable play he NEVER closes it out. Never slams the door as it were
Thank Dog for Beanie Bishop lol

I stand corrected. At least STD is a mildly impish troll who knows he's bullshitting.

So classic
Guy wins DPOTW yet STD has a difficult time even mentioning him on his highly regarded butt rammers list.
CA3 was excellent. Maybe too early in the game to say slammed the door, but that PR TD changed the complexion of the game, for sure.
Watt getting it right back after we coughed it up was also a huge momentum swing in our favor. Again, not sure if it slammed a door, but it was big.
If slammed the door means "okay, it's over for the week and I can go to bed happy," Beanie was the author of that exact moment for me.
In primetime games, my impending 5 AM alarm pushes me in that direction.

Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
On the Beanie game clinching pick, who was rushing and “forced” Danny Dimes to make that errant throw?Ice wrote: ↑Fri Nov 01, 2024 4:00 pmCA3 was excellent. Maybe too early in the game to say slammed the door, but that PR TD changed the complexion of the game, for sure.

Ogunjobi chips the C which frees up Loudermilk to get after Jones.
I thought it could be SpoiledMilk
Good for him
We need production from other guys
And glad Larry had an assist

but people who watch film and account for eyes and hands on players and time dedicated to players see a different game.
Not my issue, watch the game that you think you see. Big difference with Highsmith back he seals the edge as well as Teej and that is an issue for offenses.
