I knew something would draw me back here one day.

Long time no see, guys...sorry I bagged out without ever announcing the Steeler Score Game winner.

Medical issues with my father-in-law kept me from being online much, except for Twitter, late last year and the first part of this year.

Anyhow, member of Stillers I think in 2003- joined right as Ben was drafted. Loved the articles, which were top notch back then...Mill...Trap...Fury (he had a different name there). Then stayed to watch Mill...and a lot of the gang...spiral out of control on stillers, stillers-forums, until things stabilized here on Steelerfury.

And in case you guys wondered, SteelerAl is still top-notch at shameless self-promotion...he's the best lawyer West Palm Beach has to offer.

Says so right here: https://www.ambrosinolawfirm.com/index.php

He ran for judge once too...https://www.palmbeachpost.com/story/new ... 863884007/ Finished in fourth place out of five...https://enr.electionsfl.org/PAL/2495/Summary/

Good times...

What is bahn?

Mid-oughts had strange deliberate Interweb typos like "teh."

High5 liked "Azians" and Audi A8s. He "proved" he had one by placing a Steeler helmet on teh hood.
I don’t know that an A8 is something I’d ever need someone to prove they own, haha. Decent enough of a luxury cruiser, sure. But not exactly a rare exotic that anyone should using to flex on the internet, haha.

Unless you meant R8. Then I can be talked into it.

You’re talking about Stillustronic correct? I had heard that.
Very sad.

Seems no one knows what happened to IC though.
Tronic died of cancer I had talked with him on FB before he died and before Zuck permabanned me from FB. His name was Dan Musko (or very close to that) (Munko?)

Here since roughly(?) 97-98 ish

FC and KC both had different names
Am I the only one with one name the entire time? Maybe Swissvale72 as well. Although KC and FC just shortened their Cowher slander names. Jizz Mop and Lynch have been around a long time as well.

I think Stillers started their message boards in 1999, so only a true legend could’ve been poasting there in 1997.
I think I found the site sometime around 99 or 2000 as I remember going to an internet cafe in Salzburg to check in and that trip was in 2000 - didn't realize I was that close to the beginning of it all. I've had the same name the entire time as back then I was helping run the fan club in Minnesota in a fun but kind of scary little run down bar.

The only one I've met in person from either site was JL58 - we connected at the Steelers game at Lambeau Field in Dec 2013. I also PM-d back and forth with Swiss back around 2004 or 05 when I was heading back to Da Burgh for a game and he was thinking of going to the same game but ultimately didn’t make it. He sent me to Vinnie’s for some pizza so at least I got that

I remember all the Spiker drama and Mill’s previews of each game. There were some good times on that site but it sure spiraled out of control so I’m glad I found my way over here. All of you Asshats have been a huge part of my Steelers experience for close to 25 years … amazing!!

I go back before that to when Steeler Fury was Steel Tree. We were all on the message board of Stillers.com. I’ve met Danny and Ed I’ll leave it at that.

Best guess is I joined 1999.

Had a Beer with Ed. Good guy.

Was supposed to meet up with Swiss himself but couldn’t get the timing right pre-game. Post game he ditched me. LoL, couldn’t tell you the game but you ended up in the locker room post game with your high school football coach iirc. Did you converse with Dick L. ? My memory is shit.

Had so much fun and so many laughs at stillers-forums I was dumbfounded when it crashed. No shit, I missed it so much over a yr later, when I searched it, I bought the domain rights from GoDaddy.com Had every intent to kick that place back online, alas never did and stopped paying for it 2-3yrs later. LoL’s from Dongsacks, to the Xnormal or whatever vids. Good lord that place gave me so many laughs. HI5’s Asian couch monsters to Conway Twitty’s Do.

Tronic was the first internet friend I lost. I remember it hitting me in the feels and made me stop and realize I never met him but it did feel like I lost a friend. RIP Tronic.

Was twice with coach priatko postgame, thrillseeker, meeting up with dick lebeau and his family in the Steelers reception area. First time was a Monday nighter against KC in 2012 with a pregame monsoon....soaked. The second was the 2014 playoff versus ravens....terrible fuckin game. Pregamed with jizz mop. Was it one of those?

When I moved to the 'burgh in 2001 I discovered the city and the team that supports it (and vice versa).
And learned a shite-ton from reading Stillers.com.
And then it just disintegrated.
Been here ever since.

But sure wish I'd made it to a tailgate.

I can't remember what year I joined. I don't have a friends that are Steelers fans so this board and that one were pretty much the only places I got to talk to other fans. Sadly I've lost a lot of the passion and enjoyment I had in those days. Hitting, tackling and running too hard penalties along with the perennial zero hope for a SB contender has me watching less football than I ever have which is saying something because we used to have a lot less choices.
Howard Griffith had to resort to chop-blocking him during the 1997 AFC Championship Game. An incredulous Kirkland asked Griffith, “Why do you have to use cheap tactics like chop-blocking?” Griffith replied “Why do you have to be a 300-pound linebacker?”

I joined Stillers.com around the year 2000. I went to ChiTraderRob's AFC Championship tailgate in Denver when I was 21 and we became friends after years of chatting on the board. We went to super bowl 45 together and we are still good friends to this day. Lots of good memories on that board!

I was a stillers member. I went by the name Reinventing The Steel (RTS) back then. I use to get all my news from that message board. I’ve never met anyone in person from here and I keep coming back because I’ve been around for so long and would miss all the bed wetting and arguments. Message boards are a bit too antiquated in this day and age but y’all are my dysfunctional online family and I can’t stop coming back. Been around since like 97/98. Whatever happened to CB26, ChiTraderRob and ComputerJumpStar?

Edit: after reading through this thread I guess it was more like 99/2000 when I joined.

When did that site first come online? Whenever that was, I was there.

Come to think of it, I can't remember how I ever came across Stillers.com. All I remember was using dial up hoping for a new StillMill article. He was great but then started to jump the shark. Thank god for this place.
I found it because the PG ran an article one time about fan sites. Stillers was mentioned and I was hooked after reading the Gildong Report lol

Was on there as well, starting in 2004. Met Stillustronic (Dan) in person before his cancer decline. Great guy. Still miss that dude.

I have the distinct honor of starting the Tiffani Amber-Theissen pictures on the "Cowher to the...." original thread. I will hang my hat on that dubious accolade forever. ;)

I am an original Stillers member. For me that place eventually got to be too much with the unrelenting negativity. The forums were worse consisting mostly of personal attacks unrelated to football. So I followed the crowd over here.

I was going through the archives and remembered shamtown.

Anyone know who he was (or still is on here, maybe)?

Guessing he was friends with Mill, because if I recall correctly, he used to defend Mill all the time and I think he also had banning power back in the day.

*Full disclosure, I could very well be misremembering all of this, haha.
