Few added things:
*someone mentioned CB26...I still see him on FB...he's doing good, seems to be.
*danno (mill) was a good dude...we didn't end well, but if I missed a game, which almost never happened, he would send me a VHS (yes VHS) tape of it.
*me, Ed (fury), and my brother Tony were on Kdka tv steeler trivia challenge with bob pompeani in 08...we won a couple rounds but we'rent quick enough on the buzzer to keep going

Was at the SB 45 tailgate, as well. Great setup and right next to the stadium! Was able to park right behind the tailgate building (was in a dental office, iirc). Great BBQ truck/food, tent, drinks, music, TV -- had it all. ChiTraderRob was kind enough to let myself, wife and parents (older) have access the 'VIP' (haha) bathrooms inside the office. Seemed like a good dude.benstunner wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 7:29 amI joined Stillers.com around the year 2000. I went to ChiTraderRob's AFC Championship tailgate in Denver when I was 21 and we became friends after years of chatting on the board. We went to super bowl 45 together and we are still good friends to this day. Lots of good memories on that board!Orangesteel wrote: ↑Wed Nov 20, 2024 11:21 pmI know ChiTraderRob used to throw some legendary tailgates but I myself never attended.

Oh...and forever indebted to my friend 95...I was about to accept an invite to watch SB XLIII with a local steeler fan who was having a bunch of his patriot fan friends over for the game. 95 advised me not to trust those fuckers...i heeded his warning. Thanks 95!!

Benign fans of another franchise ok as long as they’ve been properly screened.
Pats fans though? No way.
Now that you say that, it rings a bell for sure. I bet that's how I found it.Works At A Bank wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2024 1:03 pmI found it because the PG ran an article one time about fan sites. Come to think of it, I can't remember how I ever came across Stillers.com. All I remember was using dial up hoping for a new StillMill article. He was great but then started to jump the shark. Thank god for this place.
Btw- I used to be "Donnie Brasco" on Stillers.
I bought my first computer in 96, so I began posting around then, but I don't recall the host sites. There were several that I was on.
I'm trying to recall some of the characters...
Batman/ChristopherRoss
Bucky
Crash
Steeler-fo-life (who was supposedly an nfl trainer and maybe related to a former player)
ChemSteel (who was a former nfl Olineman)
I've used this username since the early 2000s.... lets say 2004ish???
I've been banned from 2 sites. One for reasons that I know, and one that I have no idea why.

I was DislocatedSTLRfan. Looking back, I'm shocked at how little I posted. That had something to do with my work/travel schedule during the Steelers' era and the fact that I didn't have a smart phone until late in the game. I think 2002 was my first year on Stillers. Not 100% sure but it had to after I dislocated my hip, which was 2000.

Couple more stories with that. My brother in law didn't accompany his wife to my house for a game once, and when asked why, said..."I can't follow Dave's rules."
Finale of the 04 regular season...Steelers had clinched home field throughout, Ben wasn't playing, bills needed the win, in Buffalo, to make the playoffs. Two local guys, supposedly "big bills fans," but not big enough to buy Sunday ticket, asked me if they could come over to watch the game. I told them that ordinarily I wouldn't allow it, but this time I would...BUT....they couldn't be rooting for their team and I WOULD be rooting like hell for mine. Welp, they followed the rules, FWP went off, prompting one of their kids to say, "dad, we need a back like that on OUR team."

But don't forget Buffalo won the game if you take away Willie Parker's long runs.
You should have forced them to wear the Willie Parker bumblebee throwback as a condition of watching. Then you could get into a 200 post argument with signplax about whether or not it was bootleg.

At that point, speaking negatively about Tomlin was an automatic, you’re a racist. Which is about as far from the truth as you can get, but logic and actually understanding wtf you’re watching didn’t matter

Like two self hating gay Richard Nixons both hoping indeed ACHING that the other one will breakdown and beg to be whipped while screaming more more while Billy Squire circa 1983 is blaring in the background
