From 8-2 to...
@Bengals...can see us losing a shootout
Vs. Browns.....NHALS clinched
9-4
And then My God
@Philly
@Ravens
Vs. KC
I Mean. 1-2 there maybe?
Then Bengals at home to finish it out.
What do you think?
0-6
1-5
2-4
3-3
I am not asking about the other possibilities because any of those three aren't happening

I think a real collapse is incoming. It would not be the first time in the Tomlin era. NHALS will be secured, though, so all is well.
Steelers always play like shit in Philly. They aren't beating KC. The divisional games are all toss-ups. I see them winning 2 more of the divisional games and that's it.

2019 (may cut Tomlin some slack with no Ben that season)

We usually play well against Rats and let´s say split against both Ohio Teams. Don´t think Bengals beat us two times. 11:6 seems to me as quite likely. (Usual loss in Philly and no way we´ll beat Chiefs.)

2-4 rest of way
10-7
Fight for WC
Wins I see are Browns and Bengals at our place
Losses to Bengals next week, Ravens, Iggles and Chiefs

I'm not ready to completely overreact and say we lose out or anything close to it and I 100% believe the Steelers beat the Bengals next week.
That said, I saw this coming. When folks were worrying about playoff seeding, I knew last night's game would be a war.
Literally the Super Bowl for the Cleveland Browns....and the Steelers fucked themselves. They lost this game, the Browns didn't win it.
I think they go 3-3 to finish the season and win next week against Cincy.

2-4 the rest of the way, finish 10-7 (one win better than I predicted this offseason), get a wildcard spot and get blown out Wildcard Weekend.

There aren’t two games I expect them to win. I expect them to beat the Browns next time out but that’s the only one about which I feel confident.
I still believe 11-6. I think they win the next 2. They’ll find 1 win somewhere else. I’m actually leaning towards a win over the Chiefs on Christmas. But I could see them shitting away the division by losing in week 17. And another Wild Card loss is looking very likely.

I pick the Steelers to win pretty much every game. How are you doing so far this year, picking wins and losses? Lemme guess.....
The Steelers were the better team and I thought they would beat Cleveland because I believed Jameis Winston would make mistakes (he did) and the Steelers would take advantage of some short fields (they obviously didn't.)
You've probably been a fan for maybe a decade. The fact that ANYBODY is surprised the Browns won their Super Bowl last night is almost laughable. The hatred between Pittsburgh and Cleveland is very, very real going all the way back to the 70's (which is probably before you were born.) Tomlin also has a history of losing games like this and he has a TERRIBLE record on the road against division opponents on Thursday Night Games. I believe Tomlin is now 0-6, if I'm not mistaken.
The Browns have talent and the Steelers let the Browns hang around. It happens.
Next week after the Steelers beat Cincy, this place will be singing a different tune but talking about playoff seeding with 6 games left, all of them tough (including last night's road game in Cleveland) is ridiculous.
I hope that helps.

At this point, I'll take a playoff spot...any playoff spot. And I think 10-7 def gets in. Agree with B2B, only game in which I'm confident is browns at home. But, wins in any of the others wouldn't surprise me. And...a week ago, i would have settled for a split in these two games, and that's what we got, winning the more important one.
AFC norf crown will be at stake december 21 in baltimore and I wouldn't be surprised if Steelers beat ravens again

I’m not even confident with Browns at home. Winston threw pretty well last night and he put up 400 yards last week.
Jim Schwartz knows how to beat the Steelers.
So does Stefanski.
The NFL did us no favors with this final stretch, that’s for damn sure.

Losing to the Browns is inexcusable and proves this team is a fraud. No team that loses to Cleveland is a serious competitor.
The Baltimore Ravens are clearly the superior team in the AFC North.

3-3 maybe 4-2
We'll win the rematch with the browns no doubt. Beat Cinci in Pitt. I think we may even sweep Cinci. I really want a win in Philly finally. I know maybe not realistic but neither was losing at home to zona last year.

"I don't care"...about the rest of the schedule.
Maybe he will fucking care when it's 3 games in 10 days, including Christmas.

Just FYI, Cleveland beat Baltimore a few weeks ago as well.
The Ravens lost to the Browns too.
As KC was saying...the Steelers/Browns rivalry is one of the oldest in the NFL. Since Cleveland moved and became the Baltimore Browns it hasn't had the same life to it. It's almost as the Browns took it with them when they moved to Baltimore.
Divisional games are always tough. As long as I can remember no matter how good the Steelers were or bad they were the games were usually competitive. You'd have a blow out here and there but most of the time its a battle.
Short week, on the road and in a snowstorm they came up short. It happens. I was surprised it was so close really. When the Browns went ahead 18 - 6 I figured it was over in that weather but they scored twice and took the lead. Any other Steelers team in the last couple years wouldn't have come back.
I believe this team is a lot better than people give it credit for...Of their losses this season they have been down to the wire compared to the last couple seasons where they were soundly beat by other teams.
If they fix the red zone scoring problems and figure out how to mitigate the double teams on Watt or take advantage of it there's a good chance they will be in the AFC championship game.

That goofy Wednesday afternoon Christmas game might actually play in the Steelers' favor. Taking the players out of their normal rhythm helps even the playing field. Remember how disjointed both the Steelers and Ravens were in 2020 when they had to play on a Wednesday afternoon due to COVID? I still doubt that the Steelers beat the Chiefs, but I think the timing improves the odds.AirRescueFF wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 3:42 pm"I don't care"...about the rest of the schedule.

Well we also lost to a pretty terrible Commanders team on a Tuesday that season…W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 3:59 pmThat goofy Wednesday afternoon Christmas game might actually play in the Steelers' favor. Tomlin can and will lose to any team. It is what it is. Chris Jones is going to terrorize our OL.

No doubt. Not counting on a win against the Chiefs, not expecting a win against the Chiefs. Just saying that the time change might take them off their game a bit. I think the Steelers have a better chance against them on a Wednesday afternoon than on a Sunday night. I think the chance is still slim, though.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:04 pmWell we also lost to a pretty terrible Commanders team on a Tuesday that season…W&M_Steeler wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 3:59 pmThat goofy Wednesday afternoon Christmas game might actually play in the Steelers' favor. I will concede that he's a great player and commands attention.Orangesteel wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 4:39 pmStatistically maybe down but he’s still a monster; Garrett, Watt, Lawrence, level monster.
But "maybe down" is not correct. He's way the fuck down. Like, not even close to where he's been over the last few seasons.
Might be that he's just getting so much attention. Might be that he's >30 now and he just got a monster contract. Might be a combo of both...don't know.
Najee Harris has 36 carries in the red zone this year. He's averaging 2.5 yards an attempt and has 2 TDs.
One of those TDs came when we were up 15 points with 30 seconds left against the Jets on a 4th down at the 10 yard line in a game already over and the Jets conceding. Take out that play, and it's 35 carries for 2.29 yards an attempt and 1 TD.
Literally 95% of the time we hand the ball off to Najee in the red zone it is a wasted down.
This is year 4 of the Steelers yet again having a below average overall offense with an incredibly inefficient rushing offense that can't score enough points and can't make enough game-winning and game-changing plays.
And yet, we've been perfectly content with Najee as our starting RB, the featured bell cow, and handing the ball off to him 20+ times a game if it goes to plan. Year after year after year.
The fact that we have just blindly accepted this as some sort of certainty for 4 straight years is mind-numbingly stupid to me. Why haven't we brought in or drafted anyone to challenge him if they don't see it with Warren?
Thankfully, Omar Khan said a big fat "Yeah.....no" when it comes to throwing any money at that sunken cost. Let's draft a new dude, bring back Warren as a RFA, and if they don't trust a rook and/or Warren then bring in a dude via FA. Let Najee go elsewhere. I'm sure he'll just explode (a shirt button or two).
I want to get off Mr. Bones' wild ride.

I’m going to be a contrarian and say the Steelers go 4-2 or at least 3-3:
Bengals. We beat these bitches twice. I feel very strongly about this Sunday, didn’t one of the Bengals already predict a win?
Browns. We hand them an ass whipping.
That’s three. I can make an argument that we will get swept in the three game gauntlet against the Eagles, Ravens and Chiefs, but I’ll give us a fighting chance to eke out one of the three somehow.
