14.2 ppg isn't the problem. The problem is that Steelers' ownership and coaching think you can win games in the modern NFL scoring 14.2 ppg.
And that's with a couple of genuinely high scoring games thrown into the average for the first time in a few years. Awful stat to see.

I only did the last 5 games on purpose.
Those high scoring games were outliers. If you start telling everyone that they had 14.2 I think it is accurate sentiment, but you may get called to the carpet for their actual 22.4 ppg, but I do believe 14.2 is not a misleading argument considering their futility since 12/2/2020.
I was being misleading on purpose because nobody should get credit for the obvious outliers or the high scoring games, not when you have a mechanism on the team that thwarts game plans or you just don’t have the talent against the best teams.
We are truly in purgatory...no end in sight.
