Will Howard

Should he get a shot to compete?

Could we have a Mason vs Howard camp if Rogers doesn't come back?

Does Will Howard threaten to sink NHALS? That answer is an obvious yes.

So he won't be seeing the field

You're probably right there. Forgot about NHALS.

The choice of QB is irrelevant when the playbook relies on 1 yard passes to Jonnu Smith.

Mason vs. Howard to back up Kurt Cousins? Certainly a possibility.

OMG Just shoot me.

At least Rogers had HOF pedigree and football smarts to out thinkany defenss. Cousins is an overrated ass with talent and no heart who folds under pressure.

If you are a fan you are probably thinking....

I'd kinda like to see if Will Howard has any potential. He won a National Championship with Ohio State and has had a year of mentoring under Rogers. Constantly drafting around 20 (21 this spring) means there's no shot at a top QB so why not see what we've got. Either it works out or we crash and burn and get a high draft pick.

Unfortunately, if you are Tomlin this is more likely the train of thought...

Putting the young man in put my NHALS record in jeopardy so we need to find a veteran to lead the team to 9 wins.

...... heavy sigh :(

Does he? They saved NHALS with Duck/Mason. Saved it again with Kenny, and again with Kenny and Mason.

QB doesn't really matter in Tomlin's super conservative NHALS offense. He just wants a game manager that doesn't turn it over.

Remember that 2019 defense was probably as good as the Texans we saw last night. They hit turnovers at an exceptionally high rate. Like a true outlier if I remember correctly.

The defense you see next year isn't in the same stratosphere.

Arod squeezed as much blood out of this rock that was possible. If Wilson/Fields played this season, it likely would have been a losing record. Arod was just a smidge better than them and that was probably worth 1-2 more wins

Will Howard will probably produce KP like results in his rookie year. Not saying he IS KP, but he's gonna have major growing pains and Tomlin won't tolerate it before pulling the plug
