With Harbaugh being hired the first major coaching domino has fallen. Steelers should have their first round of interviews completed by this Friday and should schedule in-person second rounders next week. Cowher was hired January 21st, Tomlin was on the 22nd. Unless the Rams win and one of their coaches is our guy, we should have a new coach by next Friday January 23rd. That’s Myron Cope’s birthday.

I get the feeling they are going to go longer than this friday for first round interviews. They have only just begun to look.

I won't beleive they are done until they either announce they are interviewing Udinski or he takes another job. He is a very weird omission from the list so far, so either they are wild about the DC of the 32nd ranked defense or they are bringing in someone near the end they think might blow them away at the end, a la Tomlin last time around.

Stefanski is like the opposite of Tomlin taking stupid risks. The guy lost more than a few games with headscratching decisions to go for it on 4th down.
