Berman on Big Ben
In case you missed it, Boomer actually gave Big Ben a nice cock swallowing tribute at halftime of MNF

Short, scripted & sweet.
It'll take weeks of Ben playing God like to undo what the media did to him from '06-''11. Started with the crash. Back in the day, I have no doubt a QB would've been heralded for starting week 1. Ben got blasted by none other than TB...who has been on camera joking about fucking someone's mother. ben took it as a challenge & had a challenging year to say the least. He took a grab bag playcaller & OL & won a second title. Fuck...y'all know this story. And it continues with magic and exceptional quarterback play year after year.
I'm enjoying them starting to realize they've underestimated him all these years, & he's starting to get his due. I LOVE when guys on ESPN say they're surprised Ben is the only QB with 2 500 yard games. I enjoy how much they sucked the cock of the wrong guy, when the real pimp snuck up on their ass.
Unlike Swiss I care about the HOF, especially for this guy. Ultimate underdog & overlooked. Give them the bird Ben.

Couldn't agree more Van, been telling all my friends and family for years Ben was most underrated QB in NFL

Thanks for posting!
Ben is a Legend and we're lucky to have him. Hope we're lucky enough to watch him get his due that's long over due in the seasons to come.
When looking at stats it's mildly retarded that Ben isn't mentioned as a first ballot hall of famer. Ludicrous.
Hoping when he brings home #7 it erases all doubt from the ones speculating.

I understand its more a feeling of vindication for fans. Truth be told this is something every Steelers fan has known since a young man was drafted in 2004 started his career in Pittsburgh. How many were wowed in 2004 to watch the then Pittsburgh Steelers promptly go 15-1 on the season with a rookie QB (a last name I couldn't pronounce at the time) himself a part of winning 13 of those games. I don't know about anyone else but that was to me a preview of Ben's career. Already had his jersey too. Fuck maddox/stewart.
Sure, there's been some disappointment along the way but for the most part all Ben does is win. Ben is right there (always has been) with the "elite" QB's of this era and ones from the past. Not just my opinion either. Statistically Ben is literally right there with some of the all time greats. Why Ben is not mentioned with his peers is IMO media blackballing. Plain and simple. What makes it even more laughable is Ben doesn't even give a shit about the media blackballing him over his career. Ben goes about his business and business is good. JMO

If a lot of you think back to preseason of Ben's rookie year you saw Tommy Maddox being Tommy Maddox and then Ben comes in and it was like holy shit way more accurate than Maddox. That was a real eye opener. Ben's accuracy has almost never been anything but an afterthought to most including the talking heads. All you ever here is Ben missed two passes out of fifty passes. As if that's what a fail. All the "elite" QB miss throws, it happens.
I've had people as recently as a few weeks ago telling me our QB was what is holding the team back...
And I'm not referring to the idiot here who was doing it.
Fans if other teams saying it.
Common denominator amongst those people is they rarely see him play. Likely just look at a fantasy line...

Even the fantasy guys took notice last week. You right on with your common denominator though.
Did Tomlin think about allowing Roethlisberger to throw for the record?
“I was unaware, to be honest with you, what the NFL record is or was,” Tomlin said. “We were trying to win the football game.”
Yet while leading by just eight points at Jacksonville with two minutes left and a first down at the Jaguars 33, Roethlisberger threw a short pass to Brown that covered 16 yards so he could keep his streak going of catching at least five passes for 50 yards. That NFL-longest streak reached 24 games Sunday.
Tomlin explained why he allowed that pass to Brown Oct. 5:
“Because he’s got a significant record that kind of exemplifies what he’s doing in his career. We want to support him in that.”
It boggles the mind one could even say something so stupid...
Like 4 people on earth knew bout AB's "record"...
I guarantee somebody knew how close Ben was.
17 point lead.
I typically care not a bit about individual stuff, but a few more basses should have been thrown on Sunday.

Great post --
I think Ben is just hitting his stride this year -- his growth as a QB is accelerating. This guy will get better next year and the year after that too.

The only reason he probably knew about Brown's streak was because Ben told him about it.
Maybe Brown should have returned the favor.

Well don't get too pissed off when one of the media's own darling QB's breaks the yardage record that Ben could of owned. Gonna happen in the next week or two.
Can't have Ben being talked about so much as an "elite" QB in the media and talks of first ballot hall of fame etc. etc. Book it, one of those jagoffs are going to get it.
Also I'd like to mention the media love fest for Manning, Shady et all can suck my mother fucking dick.
Thank you and have a nice day.

I hope Ben never acts like a stats whore.
Ben is not a big name because he is not big in fantasy football. Players that generate a lot of FF talk and points get a lot of media talk during the week.

The real difference between Ben and the elite qbs....those elite qbs get elite protection and skill players. Ben makes shit happen on a team that believes qb is just another position.

Some teacher who I NEVER talk, a few weeks back as well, had the nerve to tell me maybe Ben is done and "it might be time to get another QB" made me laugh at him. Told him that he hasn't watched any Steeler games this year if he thinks that.
I say it all the time to my friends...Ben is the most underrated superstar athlete I have EVER seen in ANY sport...to see him put his talent on display like that on Sunday was something I will never forget.
Was curious how Steve Young and his west-coast offensive mentality was taking this display by our "backyard" baller?

I think records that come organically are much better and more meaningful.
There's nothing cheap about Ben's day and nothing cheap about 100 wins in 150 starts. Ben could put up 500 any week in the next 5-8 seasons and it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

that may have been true historically, but I think things are finally turning the corner in Pittsburgh.
It's not going to happen overnight, though
The mess of an OL that Todd Haley inherited was worse than he could have anticipated, but with slow and methodical attention, they're coming around.
And now with MM's help, all that painstaking effort is finally paying off.
What's more, now that Bryant's off the leash, this team is poised to tear this shit up!

That is a very homer thing. Have you seen Rodger's Oline (or lack of one) this year? Brady almost has a pile of dog shit in front of him. In some cases dog shit would be better as people would not want to get it on them.

I agree, but lets not pretend the other 2 nfl darlings/bitches would not have gone full bore for that record...Hinesstuff is right, Ben is the most underrated superstar I can think of. I would say easily most people have no idea how ridiculously good he is. A monster sized QB, with a rocket arm, unbelievable escapability skills, and a playmaker extraordinaire the NFL has never seen before. The Steelers did Ben a disservice not going for that record. That game was not in jeopardy, so I see no issue with going for it, and when he got it be extremely excited for the player. That would be exciting not only for Ben, the OL, the receivers. te...that's also a team accomplishment, hell even Haley could have taken pride in a record like that but no our dumbfucks on the sideline have no idea about a prestigious milestone but they are all for some meaningless 5/50 stat that wont even be a footnote in a steelers program. Bullshit i say but I digress.
.Sweet Play Of The Week: With the Steelers leading Indianapolis 28-10, Pittsburgh had first-and-10 on the Colts 47. Colts defensive end Arthur Jones got free on a spin move and lunged at Ben Roethlisberger's feet. Roethlisberger stumbled, and Jones seemed likely to pull the Pittsburgh quarterback down. Then undrafted Steelers guard Ramon Foster jumped atop Jones and immobilized him. Freed, Roethlisberger threw a 47-yard touchdown pass to Antonio Brown. A pancake block occurs when a defender is knocked flat. A "syrup" block occurs when a lineman jumps onto a flattened defender -- syrup on pancake! Foster's syrup block was sweet and helped set in motion Pittsburgh's 51-34 victory over one of the league's elite clubs

I said something several years ago to the effect that one day everyone will wake up one day and Ben will have four Super Bowl rings. Kind of like Bradshaw. He got more respect after the fact and Ben isn't too different.
Ben has been consistently very efficient despite plenty of turmoil at OC and the guys around him on offense. I think Heath Miller and Hines Ward are the only guys to start 4+ years with Ben (a list that soon adds AB and Pouncey). Remarkable how consistent he's been when you consider that.
And he's also been hurt with less talent around him than the elite fantasy guys, not to mention an offensive mindset that doesn't favor big numbers.

You could make a case that Rodgers actually creates. Still the pack have done a good job of keeping stability at wr and the system in general. Steelers regularly turn over o players and coaches everywhere. And while the pats Ol maybe on downtrend, there's a clear concerted effort by them or broncos or colts or saints, etc to build the best possible team for their franchise qb. Can you honestly say the steelers have done that?
I don't think you can. There are still deeply embedded cultural biases that defense wins games, ball control offense wins games. Many see ben as a spark that gets a good team over the hump. Not as the main driver of the team.
So it's great to see ben get accolades because not to make a sob story but he doesn't have the level of support as those other elite qbs.
