MNF: Lions at Packers
Lions are tired of being slapped around, apparently. Huge flea flicker to start the game, another big pass play, driving again... up 10-0 at end of 1.

And then some inexplicable penalties allows the Packers a TD... And momentum.
And just for the record...Lions have a 4 game winning streak against GB.

This is a bullshit personal foul. The hitter went low, hit shoulder to shoulder. Packers' coaches are asking for an ejection. Like they've never seen a defensive play before. Cheap, cheap foul in a close game.

OMG WTF???
A hands to the face call where the DL never touched the other guy's face or neck.
That was a complete horeshit call. Wiped out a sack and turned it into a first down

There are zero real consequences for piss poor officiating. Which is why I believe it continues.
Parry is a fucking idiot to try to associate that call under "subjective" when Booger stated that this should be included as reviewable. As expected, nothing out of Parry when Booger correctly stated it isn't a subjective call.

I don’t think more replay is the true answer. Maybe the league needs to start hitting these guys in the wallet for piss poor calls. Although I’m sure the refs union would object...AirRescueFF wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 2:55 amThere are zero real consequences for piss poor officiating. Which is why I believe it continues.

Yeah, was just pointing out how wrong the comment by Parry was, like his fellow officials.
The union is exactly why there are no penalties, outside of costing them officiating the playoffs. Players get fined/penalized for unintentional mistakes...even getting utterly shitty fines like Tuitt's shove last week. They have zero incentive to improve.
The sheer fact that there is a disparity in the number of the kinds of penalties called, depending on the crew, are proof in itself.

I don't even know what to say. There's just no way you can make that call in that situation. None. The worst call of the year. They absolutely handed the Packers a game they would have lost otherwise.

What kind of horseshit officiating was that?
My god there has been some awful calls so far this year. Makes the whole damn sport seem so manufactured.
I’m way more interested in hockey at this point.

No one signs a waiver. In fact I would bet only the 32 owners and 1 or 2 lifers in Goodell's office are in on it.BethlehemSteel wrote: ↑Tue Oct 15, 2019 4:10 amTrue on the reality clown show

The 1st step is get everyone convinced officiating can be better although REAL people in the know already know its impossible because it will ALWAYS be someones judgement. That doesnt change if its at game speed or milisecond by milisecond. .......mission accomplished
2nd step is get all of the crucial decision making coming from or heavily influenced by one source.......check
3rd step is make sure that one source is either in on it or heavily influenced by the connected powers that be........check
4th step is make sure you "decision maker" can interject into games at any time......check
5th step is castrate any and all personal investment and power from on the field refs but at the same time insulate them from all blame or responsibility......check
6th step is let the scheme work and dont worry about the small details. If one gets away from you so what. Whats the worst that can happen ?? A real sporting event might occur ?? Lol. You can always issue more "areas for improvement" from the top of the totem pole to the unsuspecting and unknowing but well paid and would like to keep it that way NFL co-conspirators know as NFL employees and refs.
7th step. Sit back and collect the $$$$$. Hookers and blow for everyone(at the top) !!! You like washy washy Mistah Kraff ??

Just read the ref's "explanations" on the BS calls. I honestly can't believe the shit that comes out of their mouths. How they can look themselves in the mirror without disgust is beyond me. It's like they are in the Matrix or something. Worse every single year and nothing tangible is being done about these clowns. They should also be embarrassed that the networks have to hire rules experts to TRY TO interpret these calls. And if teams rightly criticize? A fine. How hypocritical is that?

If this is accurate, just more fuel to the dumpster fire.

Are these the two penalties?
https://deadspin.com/a-pair-of-phantom- ... 1839048683
Did anybody notice the shove to the helmet at the end of the sequence on the first penalty? I could argue that if I had too.
The second was harder to tell, but it looked like a clean play. But neither one of those was as egregious as others I've seen. The roughing the passer against Ola, IIRC, was worse.

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.
