All 4 were pretty much way outside looking in. Give em a chance to latch on elsewhere
The Steelers will have a no tolerance policy with Bryant, but barring something new and stupid he'll be the starter Wk2, at the latest.
PIT, like every team, has a double standard and more tolerance for guys of Bryant's talent. And, quite honestly, he deserves a second chance and someone is going to give it to him (so it might as well be PIT).

Ben comes back, Tomlin doesn't = CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

Pretty sure this is at least Bryant's third chance...just saying.

I thought Shabazz was going to eek out a spot this season. He was busy last season. Poached off the practice squad made active on the Saints 53 then released and made active on the Steelers roster. Perhaps they saw this as doing him a favor Getting picked up early by another team?

Good point. Maybe even he fourth chance. I just don't know, with the league having a pretty strict and clearly defined policy, that teams need to pile on additional sanctions.
He's still going to have a shot to play again in this league. Might as well be with PIT.
For me, it might depend on that locker room. If they want him there, then I want him there. If not, then you have to cut him.

Oh, I don't see the Steelers doing anything other than making him earn his spot, which is fair. I don't think they'll cut him...that's not to say that Bryant won't cut himself.

Bryant was an idiot for smoking weed, but the NFL are idiots for labeling it a performance enhancing drug:

The only sport in which MJ is performance enhancing is a pie eating contest.

the starting WR2 job is Bryant's to lose. anyone who thinks otherwise is huffing paint thinner.
Brown wasn't benched after the locker room vid. Bell didn't have to play second to DeAngelo until he 'earned' the team's trust back. coaches don't sit their most dynamic playmakers based on some sort of ethical stance. most of them would be out of a job if they did (obviously not Mikey T, but the point remains).

I questioned if he was going to snag a spot this season also.
Guess he could come back at some point but at the moment, I think CB is covered. I'd almost rather see a vet who may be a post June 1 cut get signed for some depth.
Great posts in the thread fellas. All god points and rarely agree with so many consecutive posts anymore so it seems.

Lol why would anyone be doubting that Bryant is our Week 1 starter?

Has he done something new?
Obviously if he gets suspended/booted/etc he won't be our week 1 starter, but reading this thread I had to check the news to see what I missed, because people are acting like he might be cut or might not be our starter week 1 even if here.
