Thursday night football.

Wasnt it just Sunday.
If i feel that way... how the hell are battered and bruised football player feeling with 3 days rest.

I teach a four and one half hour class on Thursday nights. Starts at 6.15.

Thursday night football when the Steelers play.
Yuk!

What a bad combination.

I've put the game up on the big overhead screen thru Reddit and other Streams in years past...
Few are football fans. But ill put it up and try not to be too pre occupied.

But sometimes risky ads pop up on those sites....if not viruses.

Not good with a few females in class this semester.

And then of course the Steelers slop and slather brings the devil out to the tip of my tongue with vulgarity and unintelligible noises.

Not good again.

Gonna have to condense the lesson and class to get out of there.

Expecting a crisper offense.
A better tempo.
No burned time outs or presnap penalties.

Would love to see some more no -huddle.

-More Bryant and McDonald in the passing game. Simple NFL routes.
- More Conner mixed into the run game.
- pass more on early downs
-convert manageable third downs with high percentage plays.
-dont waste downs
-Ben warms ups his arm and accuracy before game and not during first quarter. Waiting for him to play his first 4 quarter solid game of season.

-Stop the run first.
-blow up plays with run blitzes on way to hit Mariotta. Let him know early that he will be hit.
Waited too late to start going after Brisett last week. Once they did his clock sped up and started making errant pssses.
-protect the secondary subs with a fierce pass rush.

A week healthier Tuit living in the backfield.
Big games by Shaz Tuit and Watt in keeping Mariotta from scrambling.

You tell me now we have No turnovers and no special teams screw ups.....
I will say they win by 12-14 points.

Plan to score 40.
Settle for 30-33

Continue to look un prepared and un focused and it will be another 18-19 game decided by a FG

A son inviting his old man out with his friends to watch the game is a beautiful thing. I say you take advantage of that.

Tonight’s performance will tell me a lot about the 2107 Steelers:

- home crowd prime time 1st seed in AFC
- against a tough team
- DICK exposure on the other sideline
- national media wondering how good, or bad, this team is.

Should be entertaining.

Move the ball down field. Move the change. Attacked the end zone before you get inside the 10 tonight

My disdain for Rodney Harrison is so great. An above average player who acts like he was a HOF. I will always appreciate the player known as Cedric Wilson for ending his career for all intents and purposes.
