Sunday Viewing Options
Sunday Viewing Options
I'll be traveling next sunday, probably leaving the house sometime around kick off with the pats.
Anybody know what my options are as far a mobile viewing? I don't want to pay for a package for one game.
Streaming through youtube might be an option, but coverage at NYC airports is notoriously bad. I also don't have a youtube account.
If I register, can I see it through the youtube app?
Any ideas?

Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

Sign up for a Google account (Google owns YouTube, so it’s all one account)...you’ll get a GMail address with that with which you’ll log into YouTube.
Send a PM to PittWest, who I am sure will be setting up a YouTube stream, and then yes-you'll be able to stream the game via the YouTube app. PittWest will need your GMail address so he can turn you in to the authorities...I mean...authorize you to view his stream.

Thanks. I have gmail. Forgot about how google owns youtube. Now I just have to find somewhere at JFK with a good signal. I suppose I could use the crappy oingo boingo wifi shit offered at the airport. Never used it.Jeemie wrote:COR-TEN wrote:I'll be traveling next sunday, probably leaving the house sometime around kick off with the pats.

This is going to suck. I'm going to miss a good portion of this game. Probably the last quarter at least.

What airline are you flying?
I'm 100% positive that Southwest and JetBlue have DirecTV onboard most flights. I've watched Thursday night and Monday night games on Southwest before. United and Delta have live TV on some flights, so you'll probably need to check ahead of time (probably depends on the size of the plane). American Airlines doesn't, because they are terrible people.
Delta. Departs 7:32 pm. I'll be at JFK at 5:30 or so. About 50-60 minutes to get there.
I'll try to watch while waiting in line for security, but will probably be waiting to board or on the plane when the game ends.
You'd think I would have thought of this when I bought the fucking ticket. It just worked out right with pricing and times, etc.

CBS All Access 7-day free trial?
I haven't seen the maps, but I think there's only one other late CBS game, so it should be on in most of the country.

Don't think this the NFL allows this on mobile phones for some reason, maybe if you have verizon they will.

No, you’re right. I was intending it for tablets or laptops.
Honestly, if I’m not at home I just use Reddit’s nfl streams. Has worked all season on any device I try.

Yup....you'd think. Reminds me of the time in '96 when I intentionally missed my flight, rather than board at halftime of a Steelers-Bungals game.

COR-TEN's email address is the last one I need to hand over to the FBI in order to get my charges dropped and get my immunity.
COR-TEN, shoot me a PM with your YouTube email address and I'll add you to the list. The stream does work on mobile. I pull the stream up on my phone every fifteen minutes or so while I'm watching on my couch just to check the quality, so I know it works on mobile. The service problem, I can't help you with though

*coughcough* You're not looking well. I think you should postpone your flight until you're feeling better.

Thanks guys.
If I could change the ticket I would, but $200 (X2) change fee isn't in the cards.
And swiss, you're a fucking crazy man. Or more specifically, a fanatic.

It was like this....flying to Asheville, NC from Manchester...four-hour layover in Pittsburgh. They would not allow me to book for more of a layover. Flight would leave Pittsburgh around halftime. Bengals sucked, hoping Steelers would be well in front by then. Instead was 3-3 at halftime.
Earlier, I had asked an agent if I could book for a later flight. He said I could for $500. I walked to the gate, was about to go down the jetway..just couldn't do it. I found a more accommodating female agent, explained my problem. She asked me where I would be watching. I pointed to a local bar. In about 20 minutes, she was there with a new boarding pass for me for a 6pm flight. Steelers won!!
