James is going to make some serious coin as a personal trainer when he retires. Maybe that's the point behind all these videos.

Never used a buffalo bar-still reps on the bench at 405 Lbs is incredibly impressive.

He could shape the next generation of NFL players that seek him out if he chooses to go that route when he finally hangs em' up.

I would guess it's harder than a straight bar - greater range of motion (guys wth a chest that big only get like half the range of motion).

https://www.elitefts.com/training-logs/ ... -benching/

"It's basically just a paused raw bench, but with a Buffalo Bar, which is a slightly cambered squat bar. Normally this bar is used to ease shoulder stress in the squat, because the slight bend is more comfortable to hold on the back. When used for the bench press, it creates a small (maybe half inch) deficit, which helps build the low end of the lift."

Oh, man. Brainfart! Of course it's the same basic range of motion, but puts the hands at a lower start and finish point (hence focus on the low end).

You're obviously more of an expert than I am, but don't some people squat barefoot?

not smart to walk around the gym barefoot. I get it if you take your shoes off to squat (which is wayyy overrated anyway) but when spotting that type of lift with a plate bouncing inches from your feet? looks like a dumb college intern.

Right on.

Lifting in the off season for wrestling back in high school, music blaring, my lifting partner, coach and I in the room and my buddy has 45lb dumbells and he's sqeaking out the last couple reps. Because the music was so loud I thought he was saying one more and he was saying here take this. Drops the dumbbell and ofcourse we're in the wrestling room so I'm in socks. Snapped two of middle toes instantly and my foot and between and underside of my toes were purple. Hospital basically said yep, look at that clean break good luck. Thank god it was the offseason.
