Like Ned Blomqvist battles hard. Wish we could see that from our # 1 tender more consistently.

Letang has been bad to my eye test so far 5 periods in. Karlsson isn't 100 percent.

Quote from game ' so important for the Pens to answer the Wings goal so quickly with one of their own'. You know who the dumbfuck was that sad it.
The Pens answer came 11 minutes after the Wings cracked the nut.

Nicely done. Missed live but caught highlights.

Flush the first game down the toilet.

Completely forgot there was a game last night.

Looks like they rebounded nicely. Nice to see.

Feels like the difference in goaltending from game 1 to game 2 was a big factor. 71 had it going a bit better without Rakell,

I'd prefer if Karlsson wasn't on the first PP at all but I do think the adjustment where he is playing more below the dots is good one. Malkin one-timer is still their best weapon, Karlsson attacking either opens that up or can find someone crashing the net, as he did last night. But EK playing at the blue line and taking shots without distributing the puck was bery, bery bad last year.

I think EK there might work. He is good on entries. He obviously has very good vision so there are plays to be made by him passing cross ice. Finally, he does have a good shot so if teams overload you can get it him to hit a one timer. In some ways, it was akin to having Phil on the left side (i.e., the playmaking) albeit Phil did not have a one timer.

And yes, goal tending made 1000% the difference. Jarry in the first period gave up soft goals (albeit one was called back) that just killed his team (who actually played a better first period). Bloomy faced tougher shots in the first and survived. Gave his team a chance to get in the game and get in it they did. Also, Bloomy didn't give up any cheap goals. 1 was a 5-3 after a rebound (he did well to stop the first shot). Another was across ice one timer off the rush. The other was when Tarasenko had time right after the PP ended to pick his corner whilst Bloomy was being screened.

Finally, I thought DOC played pretty well with Geno. It wasn't perfect and there are some growing pains, but you could see DOC + Bunting + Geno forming a decent line.
