And that was a GOOD outing from Jarry, comparitvely.

Then he proceeds to 1) score on himself with his own stick and 2) essentially skate 3 feet outside of the crease on the game winner.

It’s all, very, very bad.

I’ve been watching sporadically this season but was taken aback by Crosby’s demeanor tonight. He’s not pleased.

- NHL Four Nations Face Off is in mid-February and Sully is the coach. Would be a terrible look for the head coach of team USA to be fired before that tournament. Strong point and probably a reason why they won’t move on from him until after the season.

- Pens have blown ten 2+ goal leads in 21 games. That’s….a lot.

Watched this game. Two solid periods of effort and results pissed down the drain in the third and OT. I get it, the Bolts are a strong team and getting Point back was huge obviously (two goals including OT winner). I’m less upset about the OT loss - 3v3 is fun but it isn’t hockey and the shootout is a skills competition - than the failure to defend the lead. As noted, a blown lead has happened in basically every second game this season. I’m glad they are celebrating the accomplishments and I was hoping Sid would get his 600th on home ice. But damn, this team is hard to watch and I am starting to tune out after three seasons of this garbage. I’ve been a fan since the late 1970s and I can’t remember a time I have cared less about this team…

By the way... not including Russia in this tournament is ridiculous. The Russians have 2 or 3 of the top goaltenders in the world, and they have TWICE as many active >1 point-per-game skaters as Sweden & Finland COMBINED.

Wars aside, yet another Russian athlete just got popped for doping in the Olympics (2012 Womens 1500m - dirtiest race ever).

I realize this is an NHL thing, but as a nation Russia needs to be banned from international competition for this shit alone. It's a severe problem.
