I was at the game tonight.

Though after showing up to the Pittsburgh Beerfest at noon and drinking non stop til gametime, I admit my memories are rather blurry.

That said...can't recommend going to one of these stadium games. We had seats in section 131, which were fairly high end seats. Yet, we couldn't see shit. Not worth it at all. I'd venture to say second level seats would be a much better bang for the buck. See more and probably get s better environment out of it too.

The issue with the flyer goalies is the expansion draft

They want to make sure they can protect the ahl guys and somehow not cap themselves with mason/Neuv. They both have expiring contracts at seasons end

Doesn't sound right. I know in the SEC the alcohol ban only applies to University-sponsored events - Concerts, conventions, and whatnot are free to sell beer. Maryland sells beer at games, so there's no Big Ten rule that would preclude them from doing it.

According to this article, the university is starting to open up to selling alcohol on campus, but does not yet allow it to be sold in the stadium, although that is expected to change within the next year.

It may very well be that when the NHL was originally scouting for stadiums however long ago, PSU told them no alcohol....but if they were to do those negotiations today, PSU would be more likely to give in.
