Jake Out - Who Does JR Go Get?
Gotta think the Guentzel situation will light a fire under Rutherford’s ass to go get someone to fill one of the top two lines.
Who you got?
Who you got?

I'm kidding, but I'd at least try McCann on Line 1 and replace him with Bjugstad on Line 3. See how the new lines roll with Sid back before going after a rental.
Finding someone who can produce on Jake's level isn't easy and won't come cheap

Agreed there. Still can’t believe how he’s developed as a player. This blows. I have hope though considering what this team has done on Cup runs in the past with major injuries.

Jugs becomes relevant again.
Time for Galchenyuk to step up and put the puck in the fucking net.
I'd give Kahun a shot with Malkin in the meantime.
But yeah, wait until Sid and Jugs are back and see what works.
I know Sully is a up beat positive guy but I wouldn't blame him for throwing his hands up in the air with this news.

Yeah, this stinks. But if we get Sid and Jugs back, we should be ok. Then at some point add in Dumo and Shultz. Then if we can make a deep playoff run, Jake comes back!fractalsteel wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 6:06 pmJugs becomes relevant again.

I think the adversity this team is playing through, and winning (unlike the Steelers), will really benefit them come playoff time if they qualify.

Dumo is out at least 3 more months and will be coming off ankle surgery. Remember when Schultz went through that last year(?) and he wasn't the same player when he returned.
This may not be a popular opinion, but I'd be fine with the Pens dealing Schultz at this point.
I though Dumo was due back early February? Timetable was 8 weeks from December 1stfractalsteel wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 8:04 pmDumo is out at least 3 more months and will be coming off ankle surgery. You are right. I can't keep track of all the injuries. Dumo didn't have structural damage so hopefully he can recover more quickly.Pabst wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2019 8:09 pmI though Dumo was due back early February?
