Let’s try this to reverse the mojo. Fractal can pull projected lines by request. Let’s right the ship.

AT&T said Dumo and Marino are going tonight but no Tanev who is sick.

DK mentioned that Tanev went into the boards really hard during practice today, and speculated that was the real reason for him being out today.fractalsteel wrote: ↑Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:37 pmAT&T said Dumo and Marino are going tonight but no Tanev who is sick.

We only needed 3 minutes of game to remember how great Dumo and Marino are for this offense. When you don’t have to depend on Chad Ruhweedel or Jack Johnson to help with a pass here or there on a scoring play, our offense is deadly.
Good period by the Pens. Glad to see them putting puck on twine finally!

Yeah, it was better but the Pens still had some warts.
They got smoked in FO's in that period.
Most of the shots on net were on the PP and 5 on 5 they struggled with OZ time.
Murray made two clutch saves and the lone Senators goal came after a horrible TO in the Pens OZ and a sloppy change seconds later.
Kuddos to Hornqvist who was very visible in front of Anderson. And it is nice to score late in a period.
Get the next one.

That was a horrible extended PP.
Ottawa is killing PPs at rate of 65 % since the all star break.

Pens still look sloppy.
Marino though; wow, great player.

The last 6-7 minutes of the second period the Pens looked really good. Every shift made something happen and controlled play.
Marino, who is this guy? I mean he was overlooked by every team. The right fit here. He seemingly knows where the play is going before it happens. Maybe the injury was a blessing in disguise because he looked a bit tired before he went down for a while.
Not bad for a rookie. Not bad

Crosby going off, good for the team.
He sure has been streaky this year which is weird for him.
800 assists. Go lookup who has done this...

Wasn't a perfect game, but certainly a great step to getting back on track.

I know one thing that changed for the last 6-7 minutes of period 2 onward...fractalsteel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 1:51 amThe last 6-7 minutes of the second period the Pens looked really good. Every shift made something happen and controlled play.

I understand the senators suck. So there's that. . . At least they beat a team they were supposed to beat.
Arguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon. No matter how good you are, the pigeon is going to shit on the board and strut around like it won anyway.

That and the killer batch of shrimp étouffée I made yesterday. Yeah, JJ sucks balls.
Nice to see them beat a team they're supposed to beat. I look forward to what Dumo and Marino bring back to the D. I also look forward to seeing the new players (Sheary/Marleau/Rodrigues) find their grove/place here -- much like Zucker seems to have. Due to familiarity, Sheary is the next man to turn it up (Zucker style,) imo.
Get a few guys healthier and we have all the talent needed to make a real run. They just gotta put it together night-in-night-out.

Looks like JJ left the game due to his wife going into labor.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 5:59 pmI know one thing that changed for the last 6-7 minutes of period 2 onward...fractalsteel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 04, 2020 1:51 amThe last 6-7 minutes of the second period the Pens looked really good. Maybe that’s why he’s sucked so bad lately, because he was trying to care for a pregnant wife? I doubt it too, just trying to find a silver lining
