After a refreshing few days without Penguins hockey, they play three in four nights starting with the pre-Thanksgiving “traditional” home game, this time versus a decent Canucks team. The Canucks have been trading wins and losses over the past nine games (5-4-0) and are coming off a 2-0 win over the Bruins in Boston last night (Van is 8-1-0 on the road this year). Pens are 9-2-2 in the Crosby era on the fourth Wednesday in November so something has to give (my guess is the Penguins’ defense…)
Pens have a new face on the roster for this game, trading a 2027 fourth-round pick to Nashville for 2019 first-round forward Philip Tomasino (good article here https://www.pensburgh.com/2024/11/26/24 ... sino-trade He is penciled in on Malkin’s wing although TOI might be limited.
This game ends the season series - the Pens blew a 2-0 lead in Vancouver on a bad west coast swing earlier this year, giving up four second-period goals to lose 4-3.
