Pens at Avs: the Return of 71

Huge game for the playoff push and the team *should* get a boost from the return of 71. Maybe Malkin will even finish the game this time.

Only thing I've seen is that Sid remains out

Where are you seeing that Crosby is playing?

All I'm seeing is that he skated with the 4th line this morning, but still isn't expected to play.

Shit. earlier Yohe said he praciced with the power play and he thought that indicated he was going to play.

Well, Leon Draisaitl is also out so... LGP

Anyone in the Pittsburgh area have Xfinity?

My feed has gone completely bonkers. The picture got super pixelated, I lost sound and now it's showing me....horse racing.

Just watched the highlights.

Looked like Silov had a great game, which isn't getting much attention.

Also, as great as we've played recently, I am noticing a little bit of a gremlin developing with penalties.

We've scored enough goals and have been strong enough on the PK where they haven't mattered much. But that's something that tends to bite you at the worst possible times if you don't get them cleaned up.

Silov made some awesome saves, particularly when it was 4-2 and a Colorado goal gets them right back into the game.

And yes, some of the pens penalties, offensive zone, seem unnecessary

Three of them last night were either bad luck from playing hard or bogus.

Couple of things:

- the Nordiques jerseys are exceptional but if your team up and leaves for another city, from Quebec to Denver, then I’m of the opinion that you shouldn’t be able to wear those anymore. Your credits have expired.

- massive Burgh presence at Ball Arena last night. Love to see that considering the Avs are arguably the best team in the league

It would be hilarious if the Ravens showed up to play the Browns in Browns throwbacks.

I am willing to bet that a very high percentage of season ticket holders in every NFL & NHL city are transplants from the northeast or midwest, and it's especially true in Colorado and Florida. It's not impossible to me that the number of Pens jerseys in the crowd represent roughly how many Pens fans there are in the stadium every night.

Was said again on the ESPN telecast from Colorado on Monday night, that "Pittsburgh fans travel well," to which i always respond..."they don't travel well; they live there."
