Deep in the Heart

2) Josh Jones 6’7 310 OT Houston- They say everything is bigger in Texas. Here's a BIG, athletic specimen that will look to impress Senior Bowl week. I have zero clue how the offseason will shake out, but should both Ramon Foster and BJ Finney depart I could see a scenario where the Steelers draft the highest rated linemen on their board here in rd 2.

3C) Denzel Mims 6’3 215 WR Baylor- “You look like a bunch of 5th grade sissies after a cat fight.” You tell ‘em Coach Boone. Pretty much how I feel about the Steelers WR group. This Denzel is a legit playmaker that will be flying up draft boards come April.

4T) Eno Benjamin 5’10 210 RB Arizona St- No, the Sun Devils don’t play in Texas. Sprint to the podium pick for me to kick off day 3. Size screams 3rd down back but this kid is an extremely physical down hill runner with ankle breaking cutting ability. A broken record I am. I CANNOT stand the Steelers running backs. Worst group I’ve seen in my 48 years of life. That’s right Y’ALL SUCK! Thanks for letting me vent. I feel better now.

4) Ross Blacklock 6’4 305 DT TCU- Senor Sack didn’t exactly pan out, but the Steelers have drafted a couple stud DT’s from the state of Texas in their history in Casey Hampton and that Mean Joe Greene fella that sure did. It doesn’t happen often, but I hate to see a young stud Steeler leaves in his prime. Chad Brown jumps to mind. I think Hargrave will follow suit. Most a pity.

6) Adam Trautman 6’6 253 TE Dayton- A pick right in the geographic wheelhouse for the lazy-ass Steelers’ scouts. Dayton, Ohio A LOT closer to Pittsburgh than Waco, Texas.

7) Nigel Warrior 6’0 186 S Tennessee- Dale Carter’s kid lives in same neighborhood as Cam Heyward down here in Suwanee, GA. Highly recruited, versatile player that will be a day 3 steal.

Thanks as always for reading. Please comment on the player that you like and those you don’t. Go Titans.

Good draft. Extra points for the PeeWee Herman ref.

Way high for Josh Jones. He needs a lot of work for picking him in the 2nd. I would guess he is a 3rd round pick. He and Chuks would be about the same ( draft wise). Both are athletic and physically gifted but lack any technique.

Can I suggest Lucas Niang OT, TCU there?

I think that is a little high for Mims. what about Collin Johnson Wr Texas? Not a deep threat like Mims but 6'6 big body Wr. If nothing else they can train him to be a TE.

I do like Eno Benjamin. Just do not think the Steelers will draft a RB this year.

Brick, I think Josh Jones is gone before the Steelers pick at 49.
