Fits a need and is ranked as the #24 player on NFL Mock Draft Data Base dot com. For what ever that it worth.

There is no way that dude plays LT, so it's a luxury pick or a pick for 2022 and beyond.
I love his attitude but he has a bunch of issues as an NFL OT. IDK... polarizing prospect.

He is a RT in the NFL. Same with Leatherwood.

I think Jenkins is going to end up at guard. He's so guard-like in his makeup.jebrick wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 1:14 am^^ This ^^^bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 12:52 amThere is no way that dude plays LT, so it's a luxury pick or a pick for 2022 and beyond.

I see RT. He’s one of my favorites.
Even if you see a guard, I see a hell of a guard.
(Decastro is gone after this year
and the Steelers are in rebuild mode.

I'm down with the idea of Jenkins being a Decastro replacement. But you've still got so many other immediate problem areas, no money in FA to fix them, and so few draft picks. It seems like they've got all right-side OL on the roster right now. Got to get some left side players and a center--they're harder to find.
Jenkins' main issue is he has trouble doing stuff on the move. In a phone booth, he's a killer.

For all his strengths in short set and in a phone booth, here will be Jenkins' trouble in the NFL. For all his athletic gifts, Joseph Ossai doesn't have the pass rush toolbox to fight hand to hand with a master hand fighter like Jenkins, but if Jenkins has to kick slide into something other than a short set, elite NFL EDGE athletes are going to win to the EDGE.

They'll do that to him until he oversets outside to compensate, then they'll catch him with the inside rip (and force him to an uncalled holding penalty):

I understand his strengths: when he can short set, hand/arm battle in a box, get his hands on you in run game... outstanding. He is a fit for a passing game not unlike what the steelers rolled out last year but may be a liability when trying to throw the ball downfield, especially in 3rd and long situations.

If Harris, Etienne, JOK, and Collins are gone which is a good possibility, where do you go?
No centers are round one worthy. Eichenberg? I like him and I think he is a typical Steelers pick, a guy that can be a solid starter for 10 years.
I’d still go with Teven Jenkins, I think he can be a beast RT, or he is a beast as Decastro’s replacement if they believe he would be pro bowl caliber at that position.
They’ve got holes everywhere you look, ILB, slot corner, outside corner (Haden), center, LT, RT, RG (Decastro),WR (JU-JU and Washington), S (Edmunds)
To me this team is in rebuild mode, with so many holes this year, and more coming next year, they can’t go wrong with selecting BPA.

I think that's pretty true. If it's me and I can't/won't trade down in that scenario, I'm taking Richie Grant, Kelvin Joseph, or some offensive weapon like Kardarius Toney.cop1211 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 5:34 pmIf Harris, Etienne, JOK, and Collins are gone which is a good possibility, where do you go?

Also, if all of the players you mention are gone, there's a chance Darrisaw or someone you never expected is there for BPA. At some point a guard for 2021 would work as BPA... and you could always trade Decastro for some asset, as I did in the board draft.

Are you worried about Joseph's character issues? I dig the athlete and the tape, but he basically quit on Kentucky last year after already leaving LSU. I think there's a lot of baggage with that guy behind the scenes too... hard to see using a 1st or 2nd rounder on a guy like him IMO.bradshaw2ben wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 7:54 pmI think that's pretty true. No idea. I am utterly dis informed about whether some pimply-faced 20 year old did something immature or is a cancer. Of course, there might be reasons to have a guy that that off your board. He can play, though.tbsteel wrote: ↑Tue Apr 06, 2021 8:11 pmAre you worried about Joseph's character issues?
