Going to wait for some of the hungover crowd to wake up and make me a trade offer before I kick off today's mock draft festivities.

Last two picks were pretty smooth. Like Hundley better than probably most on here. At the worst, he's Jake Locker. At best, he realizes his talent, and becomes a real alternative to Sam Bradford after this season. They have to move on from that guy.

Don't love the player in Funchess, as much as I like the fit in SF. Kap was at his best with a big WR as his safety blanket. Is Funchess going to be Anquan Boldin? Horse racing.

Chiefs take ILB Bernardrick McKinney, Mississippi State.

Also, PM me offers for anyone looking to move down. I'm definitely interested in moving back up here.

Damn...I got in around 5AM, checked the board, slept it off, had a puff, brunch, and a big greasy dump, yet no progress...

Ice is a solid poster but I didn't know he worked for Penndot...

Part my fault. Haven't been able to prompt. Sick as a dog with a head cold AND at work since 5am.

Above and beyond the call. I was kidding. I'm on and off every hour or two most of the time anyway. A couple of shots of nyquil, OJ, and bong tokes work best for me...hope your feeling better.

Unfortunately I have to be lucid as hell to do my job, so I'm on a combo of ibuprofen, caffeine, emergenC, tea, and water. This too shall pass.

Like I said in the pick thread, sorry for the Penndot-esque delay after the trade, folks. Been a rough weekend, but all back on track now.

I'm a little iffy on Collins in the first, but given who was gone + his upside I can't argue with that pick.

No complaints with the second rounder though.

Nice pick. Before the trade, possible we'd have seen our first William Shatner gif of the mock in its place.

Thanks

To be fair I'm a little iffy on Collins in the first, too... But at least I got Collins plus a 3rd and a 4th for my first round pick.

This is a very cautionary exercise, though. If you go TE in the first, you might get a CB or two later, but you're not likely to get a top 100 tier pass rusher with 2.56.

By the way, I picked two players more or less 100% based on their film-- Kikaha is this year's Jarvis Jones.

Funny enough, I haven't really kept up with the draft prospects this year and am watching some Youtube clips when I can to try and catch up, just because I can't help but be obsessed by this stuff for whatever reason, and I swear the first guy Kikaha reminded me of was Jarvis Jones... arguably minus the first step that at least showed up at Georgia.

Jarvis Jones at 2.51 would be viewed somewhat differently than he is having been picked in the middle of the first.

But to B2B's point about the first round TE; if it's the plan, OLB or CB needs to be addressed in a big way in FA before the draft.

Exactly. They have one OLB under contract, and that guy isn't exactly a sure thing.

I for one endorse the Kikaha selection. Motor and intensity are what I want in an OLB. If the Steelers landed Collins and Kikaha while picking up extra selections, I will be very happy come draft time. As we argued in an earlier thread, I still believe in Jarvis. He flashed a little bit prior to his wrist injury. They will get at least Worilds type production from him this year.

If they get 2013 Worilds production out of Jones this season, the board will be so awash in crow it will look Biblical.
