I'd say so.

Greg Cosell of NFL Films has said in the past that he feels Gregory is a better prospect than Jadeveon Clowney, who was described by some as a once-in-a-blue-moon prospect heading into the draft last year. “He’s a better athlete than Clowney. He’s more flexible. He’s more explosive in his movement,” Cosell said. “Clearly, not as strong. Clowney could get inside and push back, but Clowney did not have the loose hips that this guy does. Gregory’s a much more explosive mover, a much looser athlete.”

I would worry about the Cleveland Browns if Perch were the GM.

The New Orleans Saints grab the SECs reigning career sack leader, who also ripped up the
combine to the tune of,

4.57 40 42" VJ 11'6" BJ.

Matching Parker back with Bridgewater seems like such a natural pick to make.

7. Chicago Bears
Needs: DB, LB, pass rusher
The pick: Marcus Mariota (QB, Oregon) – Head coach John Fox wants to run the football and play great defense. Jay Cutler just doesn't fit that type of environment (or any other to be frank). The Bears have outstanding offensive skill-position personnel which will make Mariota's transition easier. Offensive coordinator Adam Gase and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains get to mold Mariota into the Bears' franchise QB. (Sidenote: If Mariota falls to No. 7, expect Chip Kelly and the Eagles to be doing everything possible to move up and select him.)

In any case the exercise is for us SF experts to play GM, not to try to predict what the actual GM would do.

For me, Mariota is tremendous value here, and for a franchise that is 2-3 years away from competing and without a trustworthy franchise QB he is too hard to pass up here.

I know LLS. It was just general mock draft conversation, not attacking the pick, just commenting on it.

The 49ers thinking is with the real possibility of losing our all-pro OG, Mike Iupati, to free agency and an opportunity to improve our RT play we selected OT/OG La'el Collins from LSU.

While some say Stanford's OT, Andrus Peat, may carry a slightly higher overall grade, we felt Collins was just as good a player and a better match for our current O-line needs.

Bottom Line: Collins is a lumbering brawler who has had a level of success in hyper-competitive SEC West. Lacks athleticism to be a consistent left tackle (we already have an all-pro LT) and will have to move to right tackle or bump inside to guard. Collins plays with a mean streak that is evident in every game and could come in and start right away in a power running game as a guard.

Collins first LSU offensive lineman drafted in 1st round since Alan Faneca in 1998. Damn I'm getting old.

I figured you might go after him...if not you, B2B might beat the combine 40 record to announce.

If everyone could simultaneously tweet, text, and inbox B2B to let him know he's up I'd appreciate it and so would he.

Of all the available players I liked him best. Nice pair with Dunlap and will go along way to helping an anemic pass rush.
I was dreading Collins being there.
