2020 NFL DRAFT
Steelers Interviewed WVU OL Colton McKivitz https://steelersnow.com/steelers-interv ... -mckivitz/
Looks like the usual process is in place despite the CBA not agreed upon and implemented.

Colbert quoted as saying the draft is very deep this season with Edge and Tackles.
“It is an unusually strong class for outside linebackers, and we have gone through it a few times and we still feel that way,” he told assembled media. “And then offensive tackles, it is a very strong draft for them as well. That is kind of where the draft heads in modern day football because the way they are playing in high school and college.” https://www.pennlive.com/steelers/2020/ ... elers.html
Hmmm....

Michigan LB/S Khaleke Hudson said on Thursday that he has met with the Steelers both at the Reese's Senior Bowl and the NFL Scouting Combine.
Hudson (5'11/224) was used all over the field during his time at Michigan, lining up at either linebacker or strong safety depending upon the situation/personnel. And he's seen as a bit of a "tweener" at the next level, as he lacks the size of a conventional linebacker and has limited range in the opinion of NFL Media draft analyst Lance Zierlein. Hudson is projected to be a Day 3 selection in April, and the Steelers have picks in rounds 4, 6 and 7.

I'll be shocked if they draft an edge, but I guess it's in the cards if they can't sign Bud and have to rely on the franchise tag.

So many bigger needs on this team.

And speaking of edge guys, Boise State’s Curtis Weaver said he has a formal interview planned with the Steelers. Kevin Colbert spoke Tuesday about how much they like this class of pass rushers. pic.twitter.com/mFbhQPQt3k

Asked a bunch of the top-rated RBs here at the NFL Combine whether they had meetings with the Steelers, only one that said he had a formal interview set up was Florida STATE's Cam Akers.

I dig.
Prototype size
Young I think still 20
5 star top ranked HS RB
Played behind garbage OL with poor coaching

Swift and CHE came in even shorter than advertised
I still like them a whole lot but may not fit Tomlins prototype run their wheels off mantra

:D
Although I have a feeling Okwuegbunam will be long gone by the time the Steelers pick at the 49th overall...

Another prospect TE I'd be happy with is Steven Sullivan, https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/step ... xt8lkDRm3H

Okwuegbunam is a look like Tarzan plays like Jane player. He looks the same as he did as a freshman. Just no growth in his game. I peg him for a 4th rounder.

Of The RB's I like Jon Taylor [ before I saw his 40]
Zack Moss readies for on-field stuff at the Combine later today, per source, he has met with 12 teams this week in Indy. Rams, Packers, Chiefs, Bills, Chargers, Seahawks, Colts, Texans, Saints, Steelers, Cardinals, Lions
CB Jaylon Johnson will undergo labrum (shoulder) surgery next week, but he says he’s a full go for #NFLCombine. Says #Raiders, #Packers, #Bills, #Steelers, #Chiefs are among the teams he’s met with this week.
Mississippi State CB Cameron Dantzler has met with the #Steelers at the #NFLCombine
CB Amik Robertson (5083/187) - Louisiana Tech met with the #Steelers at the #NFLCombine

Only one TE stunned but think they will take a RB late in the draft.

There are plenty of Steelers TEs in this draft...Jesse James, Nick Vannett, Zack Gentry types.
I’m hoping if the Steelers draft a RB, it’s early. They have a whole room full of “yeah but” guys. They need to add some flash to the offense. Not getting that on day three.
