Connect Four
1.) Jayson Oweh 6’5 257 Edge Penn St- The object of my daughter’s favorite game is to connect four. The game isn’t exactly rocket science. So what’s the connection with ‘ol Oweh here? Easy. Tomlin’s BFF Joey Porter. Tomlin’s son was his Maryland mole last year. This year, Joey’s son will whisper sweet nothings to his daddy about this uber athletic Happy Valley monster off the edge. Cap going down. Bud won’t be back.
2.) Tyler Linderbaum 6’3 286 OC Iowa- No connection here, but this former defensive lineman is said to be an incredible athlete in the middle. Pouncey’s days are numbered.
3.) Tyler Vrabel 6’5 310 OT Boston College- What’s the connection? Simple. Tomlin likes players with NFL bloodlines. Tyler here is the son of former Steelers’ castoff Mike Vrabel, a three time Super Bowl champ with the Patriots. Again, cap going down, Villy may not receive a new deal.
4.) Tedarrell Slaton 6’5 358 DT Florida- BIG ‘sum bitch started his Gator career as a RT. The Steelers may have deprioritized the NT position, but I haven’t. A beast in the middle is still needed.
4C) Amari Rodgers 5’10 210 WR Clemson- Three down, one connection to go. Did I mention Tomlin likes former Steelers and NFL bloodlines? The scout who thought it was a good idea to draft Amari’s dad, Tee Martin, ahead of Tom Brady hopefully was shit-canned. Rodgers stock could rise after having the big stage all to himself as stud WR Justyn Ross recovers from neck surgery. Would be a nice slot option/RS should JuJu bolt via free agency.
5.) Quentin Lake 6’0 195 S UCLA- There. I won. I connected four. Quentin here was born in Pittsburgh and is the son of Steelers All Decade safety and former coach Carnell Lake. Could be flying under the radar after missing all but four games last season due to injury. Depth is sorely lacking behind Fitzpatrick and Edmunds.
6.) Elijah Mitchell 5’11 221 RB Louisiana- My guess is the Steelers’ scouts noticed this stud running through the huge holes opened by 4th round sleeper Kevin Dotson last season. James Conner is fragile and a free agent. The McFarland pick is growing on me.
7.) Ayinde Eley 6’3 226 LB Maryland- Man, I wish Tomlin’s kid went to a football factory like Clemson, ‘Bama, or LSU. Freaking Maryland? Looks like we’ll be drafting plenty of Terrapins the next few seasons.
Thanks as always for reading. Please comment on the players you like and those you don't. Dads, don’t forget to spend time playing with your kids no matter how boring the game. Go Steelers.

I’ve been wondering when it would be acceptable to post my first mock draft, glad Drama broke the silence first!

Another connection to the Steelers I’m sure y’all know about is USC safety Isaiah pola mao.
Big ‘sum bitch at 6’4 205 and the nephew of Steelers legend Troy Polamalu.
From all I read he’s a 1st round talent but he’s got a bum shoulder having twice had it surgically repaired
Kinda cool though two legendary Steelers safeties
Troy and Carnell Lake could have their DNA once again wearing the black and gold.

Sweet mock goodness. Thanks, Drama. I think I might start popping a few of these out, myself, though the quality and entertainment value will not come close.
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
