1.) Mike Green 6’4 251 EDGE Marshall- Tomlin sure has that endzone fist bumpin’ down pat don’t he? Williamsburg, VA native TORE UP Senior Bowl offensive tackles. THEN. He went home. Good business decision.

2.) Omar Norman Lott 6’3 315 DT Tennessee- No connection to Tomlin’s beloved VA area code, BUT he too has been unblockable down in Mobile.

3T) Aeneas Peebles 6’1 290 DT Virginia Tech- Draft day trade of overpriced Alex Highsmith. So sick of Tomlin’s unimaginative defense. Just for shits and giggles, let’s mix in some 4-3 looks with this Aaron Donald look-a-like (easy there, hyperbole).

3T) Tai Felton 6’2 181 WR Maryland- “Geographically challenged, Drama?” No, ya half a meatball. This Felton fella just happens to be from Ashburn, VA AND a fan favorite of former Terp WR Dino Tomlin.

4) Dorian Strong 6’1 179 CB Virginia Tech- Admittedly, I have some VA Tech PTSD after Tomlin followed his Virginia loving gut and drafted Hokie safety Terrell Edmunds instead of two (about to be 3) time NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson (Heaven forbid we upset Ben or you know, actually have a succession plan). Ohh the Strong kid. Probably needs to eat a sandwich, but kid is showing well this week displaying outstanding coverage and physicality.

5) Charles Grant 6’4 300 OL William and Mary- Cool Shades’ beloved alma mater. Nestled in historic Williamsburg, VA where a young, vibrant, Mike Tomlin thrilled the Bill and Mary faithful with his dazzling displays of athleticism and unfathomable acts of heroism.

5T) Bhayshul Tuten 5’9 211 RB Virginia Tech- Home run hitter forms a nice trio along with Jaylen Warren and my ‘Dawg Nick Chubb. “Tuuut! Muuuth!” (Please God, no).

7) Jonas Sanker 6’1 210 S Virginia- More than just a day 3 dart throw, Physical and cerebral…so few of us.

7) Jaylin Lane 5’9 191 WR Virginia Tech – Ever been to Blacksburg? Beautiful campus. Couple of my HS buddies walked out of there with engineering degrees. Partied with them there one night enroute to Daytona for spring break ’93 (fun blizzard driving home). Ohh the Lane kid. Twitchy fella showing well this week down in glorious Mobile, Alabama.

Thanks as always for reading. Please comment on the players you like and those you don’t. Just name dropping as per usual. These kids all showing well this All-Star season regardless of their area code.

Was rooting for K9 Mumpfield to have a good night after some pretty positive practice results this week, and he was getting some nice releases and looked to be open a bit, but their QB play was so awful that it was to no avail. He was a fun player to watch at Pitt, good character guy and a leader, and I think he could hold down a slot role in the NFL at some point (probably not for us, unless we want to keep adding to our collection of shifty, slightly diminutive WRs that don't really suit our OC's offense). Felt bad for the West receivers last night.

UD was nicely represented with that Herring interception, though. Go Hens!
Nothing left to do but smile, smile, smile...
