He's no Pinto

1.) Vega Ioane 6’4 328 OG Penn State- Would it shock you if Art and your beloved Steelers disappointed the record crowd gathered in dahntahn Pittsburgh on night one of the draft by selecting a guard? At least he’s from Penn State.

2.) Chris Bell 6’2 220 WR Louisville- I really enjoy our now weekly college football threads here in the draft forum. If you’re an avid reader there like myself, you’ve seen my near weekly mentions of this playmaking stud. Supposedly turned down Texas NIL $$$ to enter the draft. Hopefully ready for camp after ACL surgery, this ball magnet makes a nice complement to the blue wig brawler.

3.) Julian Neal 6’2 208 CB Arkansas- “AGAIN?” Well, he’s my favorite day 2 corner. Fast riser could ascend even higher with a good Combine. He and JPJ would be a nice duo, but man more work needs to be done. Nowhere to go but up for Jason Simmons and Joe Whitt. Good luck to ya, fellas. Poor bastards.

3.) Cole Payton 6’3 233 QB North Dakota State- AGAIN??” I agree the post Senior Bowl buzz around this Bison is getting out of hand but being a huge fan of the Montana/Dakotas region, I’ve long appreciated this kid’s talents. The harsh reality is the Steelers will bring in a veteran like Kirk Cousins to continue 20 years of NHALS, but I’m holding out hope they also add some youthful competition to the wildly overhyped Will Howard.

3C) Kyle Louis 6’0 224 LB Pitt- Night one of the first ever draft in Pittsburgh started with a smattering of cheers from the Happy Valley faithful. Now let’s close out night two with some applause from Pitt Nation. Pat Graham smart enough to ignore the 3-4 mandate? Show me you have the brain power to utilize a chess piece such as this Louis fella. Dazzle me, dude. I fucking dare you.

4.). Jalen Huskey 6’2 200 S Maryland- Converted corner a “dynamic” and “electric” playmaker that will be another building block to my ascending new secondary.

4C) Jayden Williams 6’4 320 OT Ole Miss- Vega is plug and play. Let’s see if Coach Campen can mold a piece of clay (no I cannot rhyme all day).

5.) Chris McClellan 6’4 323 DT Missouri- Yet another Senior Bowl week winner. Wide bodied, powerful dude boasting ’34 arms and massive ’11 vice grip hands. Notched 6 sacks this season for the always formidable Mizzou front 7. Dig him.

6.) Nate Boerkircher 6’4 250 TE Texas A&M- And another trending name from Senior Bowl week. Hardly a stat sheet filler for the Aggie offense, but this athletic mover proved to be a deep threat, seam stretcher down in Mobile.

6C.) Jeff Caldwell 6’5 216 WR Cincinnati- Hell no I didn’t watch the East-West Shrine game, but I do read. I read this Feldman Freak boasts an 11’9 broad jump and will be one of the stars of this year’s Combine in Indy.

7.) Landon Robinson 5’11 194 DT Navy- Hell yes I watched the Army/Navy game! This “sawed off maniac” was making plays all over the damn field. Hell no he doesn’t fit in a 3-4 defense or maybe any NFL defense, but I’m willing to burn a day 3 pick to find out. Again, DAZZLE me, Pat. I triple dog dare ya!

7C) Desmond Reid 5’8 175 RB Pitt- Day 3 of the draft will be a long one for all the drunken yinzers. Let’s send them home happy with another Pitt product. Fun little (literally) player that a creative OC could…well...let’s see what ya got McCarthy. I’m painfully aware the Steelers will do nothing more than patch holes in free agency. Falcons RB Tyler Allgier the power back I’d sign to complement Jaylen Warren especially when cheap ass Rooney let’s Gainwell walk.

Thanks as always for reading. Please comment on the players you like and those you don’t. Not much action Super Bowl Saturday so figured I’d toss another mock in between volleyball matches. Go Seahawks.

That model wouldn't be caught dead in a Pinto.

This draft may not be a Pinto but Colbert drafts were definitely a Flounder.

I like this mock but I'd factor in a Highsmith for a WR2 trade prior to the draft.

I think they have to get Herbig in more plays and Watt's contract is untradeable.

Left guard is a huge need. Was when Seumalo ‘played’. Some say, Little high for Ioane may even be considered a reach @21.

I believe he would out play his draft selection eventually. If he’s there and WR, CB or Tackle are not? Wouldn’t hurt my feelings.

The Robinson player to might just fit box safety rather than DT. He certainly has some potential worth development IMO.

Think the Louis kid is a bit undersized for LB the way they’ve utilized them in the past. That said, Love to see Queen move on.

Solid mock drama overall.

Am I the only one who sees JuJu in Bell? Somthing about how they don't look fast but they run by people once they have the ball.
